UPDATED: DEC 30, 2005 Pours a dark amber with an off-white somewhat dissappearing head. Some lacing. Sweet and quite dry. Flavors of caramel, malt, prunes and some alcohol. Sharp fruitiness that lingers with the bitter-dry finish.

Bottle. Reddish brown colour with a medium beige head. Spicy and malty aroma. Falvour is fruity with caramel, spices and sweet malt. Smooth body.

Lovely fruity aromas, but the taste leaves to be disired, too malty and one- dimensional-but in no way bad. Tasty and chewy brew, but in no way complex.

Bottle, 33cl. Beautiful red beer with a nice white head. Aroma isn’t strong, but it has some fruits and a strong yeastiness. Flavour is quite good, malty and fruity. Alcohol is somewhat apparent, but not overwhelming. Pronounced bitterness in the finish. Probably the best of the Leffe family.

Veer (362) - Landskrona, SWEDEN - SEP 28, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 18, 2006 Deep red, nice head. Smells caramel, malty, fruity, berries, yeast and wellbalanced. It tastes smooth and rich. Not as sweet and malty as I would have preferred it.

bridge (659) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUL 30, 2005
UPDATED: APR 27, 2006 A red-brown clear liquid, with a fairly large head that dwindled away to a thin layer and left a small amount of lacing. Smatterings of nuts, pears, and smoky sherry. Slightly bitter aftertaste, although a bit weak on the palate for what is otherwise a complex beer.
