330 ml bottle, bought in shop in Oostende. Brown color, nice off-white head. Aroma is malty with a kind of «oldness», some spices. Flavor is sweet malt and some spices, rustic sourness and fruit. Dry finish. Strange, but interesting beer.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 heavy (1466) - Split, CROATIA - AUG 24, 2011
14/08 0.33 l bottle from an Interspar, Udine. It poured cloudy brown body with medium sized brownish head. Fine caramel and yeasty aroma with typical belgian spices. Touch of tart hops. Caramel, dark fruit and spicy flavor, clove, pepper and cinnamon mostly. Strange sharp bitterness probably from alcohol ruins it a bit. Medium to full in body, with longer, vanilla and yeasty finish with that strange grainy/alcohol bitterish note still remaining. Warming at the very end. Quite fine with enough flaws, I would say about the average for its style.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 TrappistNr8 (15) - Goes, NETHERLANDS - AUG 31, 2008
(bottle) red-brown-like colour, Fruity aroma, caramel, a bit of spice. I find the taste a little overdone with fruitiness and a little too sweetened, but I’ll sure try it again from time to time

(Old BA rate - bottle)
Ruby brown color, with a nice thick slightly off-white head. Fruity and malty, with a little bit of sourness that reminded me of cherries. Definitely strong on the malt (good for the style), but back to the fruity characteristics found in the aroma. A little spice seems added, which is OK, but not too spectacular. Medium to thicker, and pretty viscous. I would have expected a bit more carbonation. Not too bad in this department, alcohol was well-hidden, but this is a bit to take down. Overall, this was a pretty good brew but pretty sweet
