Bottle at home. Sweet, fruity flavor. Cherries taste, also spicy and toffee-flavored. Tangy finish. Another excellent Leffe.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 thenick (766) - North Bellmore, New York, USA - JUL 9, 2007
Bottle @ Caffe Ke, Madrid. Pours a reddish-amber with an off-white head. Aroma is dominated by malt and spices, with that "bubblegum-ish" Leffe signature thrown in. The taste is dominated by Belgian candy sugar, with fruits and spices making an appearance as well. This is the most complex Leffe, though it is not the highest-quality of all the Leffe offerings.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 jonno (1312) - JAPAN - JAN 29, 2010
A great into for novices in to belgian beers as it forgoes the belgian spicy yeast, though is a little plainer for it. A multinational abbey it checks all the boxes without highlighting them. Sweet and smooth.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 scanovajr (557) - Rio de Janeiro, BRAZIL - DEC 27, 2007
Bottled @ Tortula, Sao PAulo, Brazil. A clear amber beer with a big beige head. Aroma is sweety, fruity and a bit flowery. Taste is sweety and malty, notes of caramel. Some vinous and bitterness in the end
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ethereal (2355) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2008
Bottle, 26th Feb 2008. Reddish amber with an aroma of red berries and raspberries. Treacly and sticky in the mouth with a nutty malt flavour. Decent stuff.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mabel (4129) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 10, 2008
[1200-20080305] Tap. Mild grains aroma, not much else. Clear, dark brown amber body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Mildly toasted grains flavour has sweet boozy caramel hints. Medium body has a bit of an astringent tang. Not particularly assertive but drinkable and ’radiant’ enough to mark my latest milestone as well as end a superb tour of the country! I look forward to visiting la Belgique again some day...

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2007 33cl Bottle from Sainsburys. Reddish chestnut with a thick white head; rich aroma of candied fruit, alcohol and malt; nutty and caramel flavours, with a long fruity and slightly bitter finish; alcohol rather too obvious for my taste.
