UPDATED: JUL 23, 2007 (Bottled) Hazy dark amber with a quite large, foamy, tight and slightly tanned, lacy head. Toffee-caramely, slightly sweet and sour aroma. The flavor is grainy-toffee-malty, a bit sweet, alcoholic and vegetably, but remains somewhat pleasant. I had so much nicer memories of this... (Bottled, 8.6% ABV, rated 12/19/2004, was 8-5-7-4-15=3.9) Dark walnut/red color with a largeish, foamy and tight, lacy head. Very nice, deep red color against a candle light. Sweet, toffeeish, popcorn aroma with fruit, some berries and a hint of alcohol. Quite malty and fruity, sweet flavor with caramel-syrup and - in the finish - a hint of alcohol. Quite full-bodied, very smooth and slippery, somewhat sugary and foamy-carbonated palate. A quite enjoyable, sweet and strong ale, but not very complex. The flavor is a bit empty and disappointing.

En fin belgare och den bästa i Leffe serien. Riktigt gott med egen karaktär.

33cl. Radieuse, oui, allei on prend la même recette que la brune, on rajoute un alcool plus élevé, on garde ce profile doux voire trop sucré avec plus de note de fruits noirs, et voilà .. une énième version de la Leffe. Ambrée sur un col beige léger. Profile reste malté doux, note cara et grillé sur bouquet fruité. En bouche, alcool est de suite plus réchauffant, mais tout aussi doux avec des notes de malts pâles, cara et grillé, le tout gardant cette fin de bouche amer de houblons nobles.

Ruby color with small white head. Just a lot of fruit taste, but some bitterness in after taste. (Velp 201202)

0.33 bottle. Typical Leffe fruity aroma although somewhat less distinct than the usual, a bit of red berries and alcoholic scent can be noticed. Another of its brand with a very big, creamy, off-white head. It has a nice crimson color. Taste is mostly sour with some noticeable sweetness alongside, not really good. Medium body and slick texture, carbonation is very soft nearly flat and finish somehow bitterer than the taste itself. Unfortunately it is distinctly worse from the other Leffes I had, its fine drinkability does not compensate for the lack of balance and mediocre taste.

The head is white. The taste is strong, alkocolic-herb a lot of difference herb flavours, but not my flavours. Interesting and intensiv, but not very good, sorry.

Drunk in a pub, from bottle. Pours amber with medium foam head. Semi-sweet beer with hints of red berries. Malty driven with yeast estery notes. A bit short in mouth, maybe due to the "too cold" serving T°C. Not a bad beer. I’d say a nice easy available beer.

Sterke kersengeur, zoetzuur. Fruitige smaak met zachte port, en een lange bitterzoete afdronk. Kraag wat rommelig, maar lang blijvend.

33cl bottle from dirck iii, Amsterdam. Decent white head. Clear ruby pour. Nice. Beer.

Donkerbruin rood met een goede kraag. Zuur moutig aroma. Wat weinig body en nasmaak helaas. Smaakt ook zuurmoutig met wat zoet en wat bitter. Weinig interessant bier.
