Clear dark amber coloured beer with small white head and no carbonation visible. Malty fruity aroma. Slightly sparkling creamy palate. Finish is fresh fruity with a slight sweet touch. A bit fresher and fruitier than the normal leffe blond. Nice one.

head: thin, white
colour: amber/apple juice
smell: hops, malts, alcohol swabs, catpee , soapy, bitter
taste: start is malts and oranges , second comes some alcohol and bitterness , hops , spices and herbs are present , end is a bit sweet with a gingery dry taste ... not too bad actually ...

Countbeer (5614) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - APR 15, 2011
Bottle: Big airy light white yellow head on top of a clear dark orange to brown colored beer. Smell malts, herbs and a hint of tea. Taste is mostly malts with hints of fruits, hops, bitter, sweets and something like nuts and overripe fruit... Strange mix not too well balanced, but not too bad either. A bitter, light dry and grassy roosvicee kind of aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel, low carbo, low to medium body and a watery creamy texture. Strange beer with a firm bittersweet aftertaste.

bottle@home: labelled as Leffe Bière de Printemps (Lentebier) but this is supposed to be the same beer as Leffe Rossa, completely clear, amber coloured, smells of spices, slightly sweet with some malt, caramel, some burned brown sugar, taste is that of spices with some caramelised malts, burned brown sugar, nuts & blueberry jam with a slight somewhat chemical bitter aftertaste, light bodied, heavy carbonisation, bit better than I expected that it would be

Leffe Biere de Printemps / Lentebier available now easily in Brussels at Carrefour. Dark amber body with huge head. Nose of Leffe malts and bananas. As inviting as ever. Taste yummy with fruits, especially bananas, and a darker malt taste. Nicely balanced. A bit sweet and doughy. Nice texture.
