Light ruby colour with low creamy head and medium to smooth body. Nose of hops. Taste of ripe hops, very light Belgian yeast, roses, grass and dough. Easy and nice to drink, really enjoyed it.

Lentebier - 30cl bottle at home. Clear amber with a white foamy head. Sweet fruits. Slightly bitter. Medium carbonation. Very familiair with the regular Leffe Blonde.

Lentebier: Some sips from a perfect draft machine at ABC drinks Leuven. Grassy, hay, fruity, some caramel and alcohol aroma (when warmer). Huge load (like always with these ’Perfect Draft’ machines) of creamy head, lasting very long, copper coloured beer. Caramel, fruity, bitter. No striking mouthfeel. Fruithoppy finish, bitter after a while.

Zachtbittere nasmaak.

From a mini keg dispense device at Dranken Geers, Ghent, 23/03/13 as ’Lentebier’. Clear golden with a big biege head, excellent lacing ensues. Nose is malt forward, musty, grain, rye bread dough, light spice. Taste follows, some yeast, spice, rye, grain, bready. Medium bodied, fairly smooth on the palate, dryish finish. Ok average fayre.

UPDATED: JUL 1, 2013 Tap at Dranken Geers, Gent. Lovely for a Leffe. Caramel, bread, not too swet or boozy. Decent balance. Drinkable. (3.6)

Bottle as breakfast beer at Borefts basecamp - Utrecht. Pours clear copper with a big, frothy white head. Bit of that Leffe caramel and sugary malt character in the nose, along with yeast and brown bread. Medium sweet flavor with soft berries, light bitter leaves, herbs. Medium bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Sweet finish with herbal hops, moderately dry caramel. Pretty basic overall but OK.

A marketing product that doesn’t add much to the already vast spectrum of beers from Leffe. Not a bad beer, but not the best they can do. A bit sweet too much.
