3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from GBBF 2013 and drunk at home. Clear amber with lasting beige head. Belgian yeast aroma. But a bit metallic. Itís a basic plastic Belgian ale. Compared with a couple of Italian beers Iíve had with Belgian yeasts in the past few days, this is just so lacking in character itís almost untrue. Ok, just. But the esters are like kiddie Fruit Salad chews. Um, I was expecting better. This is mass produced, dumbed down and lacking character.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Deep golden color with a noce white head that slowly disappear and keeps a lace until the end. Aroma is fruity and belgian yeast. Flavor is quite same with some sweetness and hints of citrus. Medium carbonation and body. Dry finish...

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear golden coloured body with a hint of bronze and copper with no head at all to speak of. Aroma of alcohol, oak, hay, grass and a touch of malt and whiskey - not much else here. Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavours with some oak, smoke, vanilla and whiskey noticeable and not too many soft notes at all. Aftertaste shows some subdued oaky and dry finishes with only a bit of whiskey, scotch and alcohol noticeable. Overall, a sub-par beer, the first one iíve had in four days here in the country that hasnít been great - but chalk this up to leffe! I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Carrefour Express in Antwerp, Belgium earlier today on 15-August-2013 for Ä1,57 sampled in my hotel room here in Gent, Belgium on 15-August-2013.

Light Amber pour. Liked this a lot. Tried not to drink to much of bottle before driving and succeeded fully, evidenced by me being alive. Belgian yeast, quite strong. Good.enough?

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
75cl bottle. Clear orange/golden with a medium white head. Fruity with hints of herbs and grass. A tad metallic. Dispite itís looks and name, itís not that special. Some bitter variation of the regular Leffe Blonde. A bit dissapointing.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Colour: Pale gold with a firm head.
Nose: Grassy, citrus, orange, hint of spices/herbs.
Flavours: Banana, vanilla, lemongrass, licorice. Not any better than the íregularí Leffe Blond.
Finish: Short, refreshing. Does not linger any longer than the regular one.
Verdict: Nice, but so is Leffe Blond. It shouldíve been an evolution of the Blond, but instead itís almost a copy. Too bad.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at The Fiddler, Den Haag. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is caramel and resin, leading to a medium bitter flavour with lots of malt and a touch of liqourice on the smooth palate. Quite a drinkable beer thatís up there with the regular blonde.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, 7.5%. Fruity, caramelly and yeasty aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is sweet, caramelly and nicely bready. Fresh white bready which comes out better as the beer warms. Medium bitterness.
