3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Golden with a dense White head. Typical Belgian spice notes. Some citrus, some coriander seeds. Reminiscent of Leffe Blonde. Solid. I’ve fond memories of Leffe as it was somewhat of a gateway beer to the Belgian style all those years ago so whenever I see a new one, I always feel the need to grab it. I think my favourite to date has been the Radieuse.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2013 33cl bottle from an Amsterdam grocery store. Copper color with a white head. "Typical aroma": yeast but also brussel sprouts? Flavor seemed like it was Leffe blonde’s bigger/bolder brother. Fine.

Pours a clear golden with a sizable, fluffy, white head. Aroma is sweet spruce and grass. The beer has some interesting notes, but overall it seems unbalanced with a sweet malt finish.

Ma bière blonde préférée !
Une très légère amertume, un magnifique équilibre. Une bière qui peut se boire en accompagnement d’un plat de poisson.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
75cl, well designed bottle. Clear golden colour. Nice white head. Not much aromas. Some yeast. Taste is sweet, herbs, coriander, pepper, fruitiness. Ligth to medium body.
Tastes a lot like the leffe blond, Royal has more herbs and yeast in it. It’s ok, but I wouldn’t call it royal.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Presentation: Brown bottle, 330 ml. The neck and the crown cap are wrapped with golden foil, bearing some crowns on it.
ABV 7,5%. Poured into a tulip at home.
Very nice colour, deep golden, very close to orange to be more specific, with a huge three finger head on top, white in colour, thick and creamy. Very good retention after losing its 2/3 of height. Average activity in the glass.
Light aroma of dark fruits and yeast.
Taste is quite sweet and fruity, mostly dark fruits, plums, some raisins too, with a slighty metalic aftertaste.
Medium body and high carbonation. Quite dry on the palate. Alcohol very well hidden.
A good beer but a bit overpriced for what it offers.

Bottle, bought @ Vinspecialisten, Haderslev. Pours clear amber golden with a medium, creamy, white head. Aroma is sweet, Belgian sugar, yeast, light peach. Medium carbonation, fine dry and fairly light mouthfeel. Flavour has sugary caramel, plant sap, yeast, sugar, light vinious, again some peach. Mild dryness to the finish. Okay.
