33cl bottle@Brussels Airport in Leffe glass@approx 6 degrees C. pours clear amber with sufficient white head. The aroma is slightly floral with a malt sweetness and just a hint of yeast. Not much hops comes through.. Taste follows aroma. A little on the sweet and malty side, but much cleaner taste and less sugar-sticky palate than Leffe Blonde. Also the hops comes through more than in the aroma. The alcohol is well balanced and the aftertaste is quite long and again of beer without any unpleasant off tastes. Agree with EdKing who finds the low ratings given by some curious for this beer and share his wonder about how much is affected by the macro ownership because the Leffe Royale is also to me a surprisingly good beer.

Amber golden color, rich head, good lacing. Not intensive aroma of yeast, barnyard, grassy hops and spices. Taste sweet, some spicy and fruity notes. A bit of alcohol in aftertaste

Belgium yeast aroma. The taste is some small belgium esters. Dry finish. Low bitterness. Nothing special but not bad.

Amber appearance. Very good, mild taste. Not a wide palete, nor strong aroma, but the taste compensates

Bottle in France. I find the low ratings given by some people curious for this beer. I wonder how much is affected by the macro ownership because it’s surprisingly good beer, Clear brownish amber, medium white foam head which dissipates to thin. Nose is very bready, sweet malt, rye bread, some estery banana bread, creaminess, toasty grain, caramel, cereal. Taste is sweet malt, brown bread, rye bread, cereal grain, creamy slight lactic, brown sugar, yeasty,
