Bottle from Carrefour. Dark orange, big white head. Smells very sweet, slightly marmaladey but mostly sticky and sweet. Light carbonation. Flavour is hugely sweet, big malt sweetness, makes my teeth tingle. Clove spice from the yeast, something slightly hot at the back of the palate, feels every bit of its ABV. Finishes sweet and spiced, like the glaze on a mass-produced Christmas doughnut or something. Just think, I am sitting here, drinking this, and I have an Orval in the fridge. I could be sat here drinking Orval right now. I’m going to ditch this and drink that Orval.

Tap at Café Leffe. Pours clear amber with a large, creamy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is sweet malt, light dates, earthy notes and earthy hops. Flavor is sweet malt, dark fruits, spare hops and bitterness with a sweet finish, light alcohol. Full body and medium carbonation.

Borostyán szín, sűrű félcentis fehér hab. Illata karamellás és fűszeres. Közepesen testes, enyhén cukros és karamellás, erőteljesen fűszeres és élesztős íz.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2015 More or less fine beer. I like the standard Leffe better. It is very clear bear with almost no head. There was a lot of carbon dioxide in my bottle, almost felt like a champagne. EDIT: Having a second bottle, marked as Whitbread Golding - enormous head which stays, nice soft carbonation. Completely different beer.

Drank at home, 33 cl bottle. Orange/amber beer, aroma of fruits with something leatherish. Bitter aftertaste. Good beer from Leffe, but the blond is better.

Bottle. Clear, dark orange-amber color, with a frothy lacing white head. Füllen fruity aromad oft banana and heavy spice, clove, Aromas. Decent sweetness, light sourness, noticeable, pleasant bitterness. Aftertaste is long lasting malt, spices and dried fruits. Great beer, like it. The big brother of Leffe Blond.

Pour clear orange with a nice, lasting white head. Aroma is predominantly malty with some yeast and some roastiness, bit hoppy as well. Bit alcoholic. Typical Leffe-ish if you ask me. Something dusty as well. Weird. After all, the nose isn’t that unpleasant. Taste is sweetish. Yeasty with a banana touch, there’s a bit of a hoppy dash. Some warming alcohol in the slightly dry finish as well, and that’s it. After a while the brew gets a bit metallic and acidic in the mouth. The aftertaste is missing anything and all you want is just another sip to ’kill’ the acidic, sourish bites on your tongue. Thinnish texture, bit of a watery mouthfeel and overcarbonated. Not the worst beer ever, but nothing special as well. Mediocre brew that misses a lot of refinement.
