UPDATED: FEB 22, 2014 Mini-tap. Aroma of bread, toast, grass, herbs, leaves, alcohol; clear amber, clear, good foamy white head; mild and creamy bittersweet taste; medium to full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation; malty finish, good long bitterness, overall a very tasty beer. Bottle 140222: not that much different from the tapversion which is perhaps more fresh, but the creaminess is the same, not necessay to rerate.

Bought a bottle at the supermarket. Has a golden blond / copper color with a nice thick white head, carbonation is perfect. Has a mild fruity aroma with tones of citrus. In taste tones of vanilla, bananas and cloves and further subtile tones of citrus. The taste is also medium sweet with a light bitter. The finish is fresh and sweet and also has a light bitter. A nice Leffe, for me nearly as good as Leffe Blonde.

Bottle from GBBF 2013 and drunk at home. Clear amber with lasting beige head. Belgian yeast aroma. But a bit metallic. It’s a basic plastic Belgian ale. Compared with a couple of Italian beers I’ve had with Belgian yeasts in the past few days, this is just so lacking in character it’s almost untrue. Ok, just. But the esters are like kiddie Fruit Salad chews. Um, I was expecting better. This is mass produced, dumbed down and lacking character.

Bottled. Deep golden color with a noce white head that slowly disappear and keeps a lace until the end. Aroma is fruity and belgian yeast. Flavor is quite same with some sweetness and hints of citrus. Medium carbonation and body. Dry finish...

Clear golden coloured body with a hint of bronze and copper with no head at all to speak of. Aroma of alcohol, oak, hay, grass and a touch of malt and whiskey - not much else here. Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavours with some oak, smoke, vanilla and whiskey noticeable and not too many soft notes at all. Aftertaste shows some subdued oaky and dry finishes with only a bit of whiskey, scotch and alcohol noticeable. Overall, a sub-par beer, the first one i’ve had in four days here in the country that hasn’t been great - but chalk this up to leffe! I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Carrefour Express in Antwerp, Belgium earlier today on 15-August-2013 for €1,57 sampled in my hotel room here in Gent, Belgium on 15-August-2013.

Light Amber pour. Liked this a lot. Tried not to drink to much of bottle before driving and succeeded fully, evidenced by me being alive. Belgian yeast, quite strong. Good.enough?

Somewhat sour taste with fruity nutes. Sour palate with medium-long finish. White foam, statys for long. Golden colour.

75cl bottle. Clear orange/golden with a medium white head. Fruity with hints of herbs and grass. A tad metallic. Dispite it’s looks and name, it’s not that special. Some bitter variation of the regular Leffe Blonde. A bit dissapointing.

Colour: Pale gold with a firm head. Nose: Grassy, citrus, orange, hint of spices/herbs. Flavours: Banana, vanilla, lemongrass, licorice. Not any better than the ’regular’ Leffe Blond. Finish: Short, refreshing. Does not linger any longer than the regular one. Verdict: Nice, but so is Leffe Blond. It should’ve been an evolution of the Blond, but instead it’s almost a copy. Too bad.
