Bottled. Pours clear and deep golden with a medium sized white head, leaving an excellent lacing. Nose of yeast and caramel. Sweet flavor of caramel, coreander and yeast notes. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation.Ends up more drye. An enjoyable ale.

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2012 A beautifully presented beer in a black, lightweight bottle with gold lettering which I was fortunate to find in Leclerc supermarche in Bologne in a 6 pack. Darker than the Leffe Blonde and stronger at 7.5% with a smooth mouthfeel, herbal, sweetish with a good hop balance. Not a complex brew, it lacks the sometimes sickly honeyed taste of the blond although it has that distinguishable Leffe taste. A very good offering from the Leffe range and one I’ll be seeking out again very soon.

(Bottled) Clear amber with a smallish, but firm and lasting, lacy head. Honey-malty, herby-aromatic nose with light tartness and green apple fruitiness. Flavor is caramely-malty and lightly acidic with creamy-lactic tartness. Medium+ body with fizzy-foamy CO2. The aroma was kinda promising, but flavor is more like what I’d expect from De Koninck: bland, stuffy and caramely. Not the worst beer around, but certainly not the refreshing blonde I was hoping for after a hot day. 4246
