(Bottled) Clear amber with a smallish, but firm and lasting, lacy head. Honey-malty, herby-aromatic nose with light tartness and green apple fruitiness. Flavor is caramely-malty and lightly acidic with creamy-lactic tartness. Medium+ body with fizzy-foamy CO2. The aroma was kinda promising, but flavor is more like what I’d expect from De Koninck: bland, stuffy and caramely. Not the worst beer around, but certainly not the refreshing blonde I was hoping for after a hot day. 4246

Details: 33cl bottle
Tasting notes: Pours a golden blond color with a creamy white head. Aroma is herbal with some coriander, slight citrus notes, some hop, a refreshing nose. Flavor is mainly sweet, some malts, a citrus coriander touch that proceeds to a quite dry slightly bitter finish. Good drinkability.
Conclusion: A decent, quite refreshing and good drinkable beer. Great for a hot summer day.

Bottle. Clear golden beer with a quite lasting white head. Hoppy roasted aroma, almost smoked, spicy notes, a bit salty, fruity, some citrus and elderflowers. Malty bready flavor, spicy, caramel, citrus, floral, some grapes. Decent beer with no flaws.

Thanks to Str. Borup. Nice, delicate belgian strong ale with notes of a blonde. Dark yellow coloured and clear. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Aroma is malty-sweet, notes of coriander and yeast, faint pepper too. Perhaps salt. Sweet starting flavor, more yeasty notes, spicy. Faint bitter finish. Creamy, syrupy texture. Soft carbonation.

Rather posh-looking gold-foiled 330ml bottle. Polished turd? Not a bit of it. Good juicy snout featuring botanical, peppery herb and lemon jelly Belgian hop notes; maybe a slight boiled corny note. Pours bright gold with an undulating white foam draping the tulip with lace. Warming with an attractive, tanging, orange liqueur and peach-like quality; peppery yeast and spice; the citrus of wheat and hop. Proper Belgian with the alcohol engulfed in a waft of perfume. Nice.

33cl bottle poured into a Leffe chalice. Cloudy orange with ample white head. Aroma is yeast and candy sugar. Flavor is just like a Leffe Blonde but slightly stronger. Definitely a good example of a Belgian blonde.
