Dark gold to light brown color. Not very much head. Not as good as Leffe tripel or bruin. Just OK.

É uma bela cerveja, que lembra um pouco a Blonde. Equilibrada e saborosa. Uma cerveja justa.

Bottle at home. Aroma of malt, grain, sugar, yeast, sweet fruits, apples, alcohol. Flavour is sticky and a bit cloying medium sweetness with a moderate bitter finish. Body is medium. Artificial and overly sweet industrial crap.

Bottle 33cl. Amber orange with a white head. Nose has this typical Leffe aroma, spices, rubber and yeast. Flavour compliments the aroma, slight sweet but with a subtle bitter finish. I had expected more hops to be present. To be clear, this is a very different beer compared with the Duvel Trippel hop. This is not an IPA style beer, which the Duvel trippel hop is.

The aroma of butterscotch sweetness, acidity of dry white wines, fresh fruit tones, little notes of apple, amid little yeast mustiness. Interesting enough smell. The taste is dry, first felt sour berry, caramel sweetness of sugar, yeast, then comes a surprisingly fierce bitterness, with a mixture of hop, woody perfume and shades then smoothed out and perceived taste smoother. The bitter aftertaste becomes even stronger, coats the mouth, there arise tones of bitter herbs and tree bark, hops is felt clearly.

Leffe master Brewers need to go back to the drawing board if they think this is their ultimate beer. Had it for a promotion celebration, it was as tasteful as a regular Leffe Royale with extra hops. Save your money and just get a regular Royale, the only fancy thing us the bottle.

33cL capped bottle poured into Leffe glass at restaurant in the old medieval city (La Cite) behind the walls in Carcassonne. Not much selection in this touristy area but I am happy to try some Leffe I have never had... cold be worse. This definitely seems like a competitor beer for Duvel. So, I will just compare it to Duvel. Its a little sweeter, less hop presence, no yeast spice, and not sharp. Despite that, its a decent Belgian Golden strong. Not overly estery, not overly strong alcohol presence. I can see myself drinking this over the typical available beers in similar touristy French town (and way better than the few macro choices in most of Catalan
