Pours quite a nice deep burnt orange colour. Aroma is quite spicy with a bit of funky Belgian yeast, not much else of note. Taste is bread, banana, coriander, fairly sweet, dries out a little in the finish. Not terrible at all but the appearance is the highlight for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ciemno z?ota barwa, d?ugo utrzymuj?ca si? piana. Wersja blond wg mnie zdecydowanie "smaczniejsza", ale i tak nie?le.

330ml bottle served in a Leffe chalice. A: Pours a dark orange almost orange color forming a very creamy yellow head. Many lacings are formed and left in the glass S: Smells like a Leffe blond. Very sweet in the nose with strong notes of honey, caramel, caramel malts. Very bready yeasts. Quite spicy with strong notes of cloves and perhaps vanilla. Light flowery hops and some light notes of alcohol T: Sweet upfront. Caramel, caramel malts, honey, bread. Spicy! Strong notes of cloves. In overall, a sweet beer, Belgian style. Mild hoppy bitterness in the end. A little bit metallic M: Medium body. Medium carbonation. A little bit molasses. Balanced Belgian bittersweet profile O: Good drinkability. Strong Leffe personality. Smooth beer. Recommended [ BA Review @ 11/3/2012 ]

330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.5%. Clear deep golden colour, large white head. Strong sweetish aroma of white kandij sugar syrup, ripe bananas and dust, hints of green peppercorns and ginger. Sweet flavour, notes of white kandij sugar syrup and malt sugar, with a much needed counterpoint in spicy notes of green peppercorns, ginger and moderate hops. Might well have another one, but not necessarily in the same session.

330 ml bottle at a hotel room in Skara. Golden with white head. Aroma of alcohol, sweet malt, banana and light grass. Taste is boozy, sweet, malty and lots of banana esters

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 13.10.14. Clear golden. White head. Vintage banans, coriander and sweet tropical fruits in aroma. Similar and very sweet taste, with hints of Danish pastry. A bit nausiating sweetness, leading to low drinkability.

One of the good beers, maybe not the best but not the worst. Great taste, but very fugace aroma and palate.

Pyobon (943) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - OCT 3, 2014
(Bottle) Slightly hazy golden amber with ridiculous white foamy head. Pleasant, fairly subtle aroma of estery yeast with hints of peppery spice. Medium body with pleasant carbonation. Some fruitiness at the start along with caramel and honey. Peppery spice develops and grows into a rather harsh bitter finish. Odd beer: harsh bitterness does not fit well with other softer interesting Belgian flavours.
