1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 esp0r (803) - NORWAY - MAY 17, 2012
Shared with my wife at a hotel room in Nice, bought at the local Spar
Ruby red, big pink hued head. Smells of ripe berries, plums and some malts. Taste is lightly malty but this beer don’t taste beer at all. In Norway we have something called "Husholdningssaft", a bad tasting fruit and berry extract you blend out with water to drink. It’s heavy sweet, some tiny super light acid tones in the back as well. Light body, watery feel, soft carbonation. Some vitter finish, it’s light and fruity.
I already made it clear that this was not my cup of tea, but still, my wife seamed to enjoyed this strange witch brew, and she is a beer drinker...

Why did Leffe make this? ( I tend to enjoy Leffe on tap)
And why did I buy it (one sip)
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 dutchbeerpages (853) - Wilnis, NETHERLANDS - MAY 6, 2012
The aroma is artificial yet not too bad. The color is (hah!) ruby red. The rest is dissappointing. Is this is the influence of InBev on what used to be a serious brewer with good beers. I read this is for the French market but Dutch supermarkets seem to have it as well now. Leffe you disappoint me.

Leffe knows how to make beers and proves it with this fruit beer. Has a remarkable clear red almost pink color and a very refreshing sweet taste. Aroma of cherry’s and strawberry’s. I’ll be hoping to drink this more often this summer.

750ml bottle. Clear red colour with small pink-white head. Sweet, artificial rasperry aroma. Very sweet, slightly sourish, artificial raspberry taste. Not the worst Belgian Fruit Beer, but also very far from the best ones.
