Bottle from Dranken Verheyen in Poppel. The beer is ruby red colored and has a stable pink head, with livingly CO2. The aroma is fruity, with tones of cherries and other red fruits. Further some malts, yeast, wood and a hint of vanilla. The taste is sweet and very fruity, with mostly cherries and other red fruits. The finish is light bitter, sour and has a little dryness.

Served in a snifter from a 330ml bottle. Pours clear deep-rose colour with a pink head. Aroma is a very intriguing combination of cherries, strawberries and rose petals. Taste follows the nose with cherry, strawberry and yet again rose petals notes, subtle sour-sweet finish with rose petals flavour lingering for a while. Medium body with medium carbonation. Despite the overall rating here I personally find this one is one of the most intriguing and unusual fruity beers ever tasted. The presence of rose petals in both the aroma and the taste is something I really adore about this lovely brew. Extremely nice, refreshing, not too sweet and definitely unusual beer!!!

Pours red with off-white head. Aroma is sour fruits, artificial cherry, some tropical fruits, syrup, some bitterness. Taste is cherry juice, some bitterness, sweet berries, syrup, some gummy, light alcohol. Better than other macro fruit beers, but not my taste.

Some light cherry and raspberry here with decent aroma. Light hazy red pour with good head and lacing. Light and sweet. Decent balance and easy beach drinking. Bottle pour at Yucatan Craft Beer Festival.

I’m not fond of most Leffe products on the market, in fact, I try to avoid most of ’em, Grimbergen will always win the fight for me even if it’s not significantly better. However, this one is pretty okay for what it worth. Clearly better than most aromatized beers available in supermarkets, the Ruby has a sweet taste, not too present, and is quite easy to drink. It tends to be a bit boring however after 50cl, but it’s a good choice for casual drinks along with other affordable beers. Just avoid this one in large quantity. APPROVED BY TAVERNY’S BLACK METAL CREW !

On tap - medium clear red with small white head. Very heavy scented aroma, light perfume. Slight ting on tongue, ok in mouth. Sweet tasting, though better than other fruit beers. Drinkable but wouldn’t go for again.

Bottiglia.

On tap @ Lyon. Ruby color, no head. Berries in aroma, but somehow it’s artificial, reminds of soap. The taste is the same, too sweet. Short finish, light carbonation, easily drinkable.
