Poured a clear amber with a fairly big, fluffy head. Aromas of strawberries and cherry. Too sweet, but flavor isnít off-putting. If you like sweet fruit beers, Iím wine cooler, you might like this, but not for me.

Not a huge fan of this one, despite being a huge fan of both Belgian beers and fruit beers specifically. Problem is that the Ruby is basically just rose hip juice added to (and thereby watering down) an abbey dubbel. Would prefer not to have again

Tap (Bon Viviant!, Riga). Clear red ruby color. Massive thick foamy beige-pink head, stays. Looks nice. Raspberries, cranberries, fruity, bit sweet, straw in aroma. Raspberries, touch of minerals, sweetish, cranberries, fruity, very faint metallic notes in taste. Juicy, but also papery and dry mouthfeel. Juicy and refreshing. Excellent morning beer!

Tap (Bon Vivant, Riga)
Looks a bit watery in the glass, frothy head, settles to look pretty scummy. Sweet rosewater aroma, perfume, some raspberry, cranberry pomegranite. Hint of rose pepper too. Lightish palate, quite drinkable, not too sweet. Taste follows the aroma, just a little bit more of the rose pepper. No sign of any alcohol, itís a great breakfast beer.

Pours a clear red/brown with a white head. Cherry aroma with a sweet cherry taste. Itís no delirium red but itís a fruit beer Iíd return to.

Pours a clear ruby color, topped with an average off-white head. Sweet and fruity aroma, strawberry and other berries. Taste is quite sweet, some brady and soury notes also present. Not bad for a fruit beer, although perhaps a bit too sweet.

200ml bottle. Ruby color with slightly tinted head. Smells like syrup raspberry and strawberry. Taste is sweet artificial fruit. Not a fan.

Didnít want to buy a "framboise" and bought this by accident. Very strong raspberry aroma, pink head. The bear itself is completely red - maybe good idea for Xmas special but I didnít appreciate it. Taste very neutral - cannot say if sweet or bitter, more like nothing... Ending is a bit bitter on the back of the tongue but nothing special. Hmm, not going to buy this one again. If I want kriek or other fruit beer, I will choose something proper and not this.

Bottle sample. Thanks beerandbeyond for this prize from the Agnes Pub end of 2014 party! A bit hazy amber-orange with no head. Sweet aroma, very fruity (mostly strawberry and cherry), a bit nutty. Very sweet flavor, fruity (strawberry, cherry and some pear), light citrus sourness, a bit syrupy. Moderate carbonation, light-bodied.

50cl can from French food store: This one pours a fairly clear ruby color. There was a bit of a pinkish head on it that leaves some lacing. An interesting aroma. Getting mainly sweeter raspberries and strawberries as the main component. Also getting a bit of a caramel malt in the background. Interesting taste. Getting some red berries, but just a bit of sweetness some them. Tasting a bit of a abbey beer behind it. Have they taken their abbey beer and added some fruit flavor to it? My guess is probably. It rates just an OK. Iíd rather have a real lambic than this.
