2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
This beer seems to be a marketing construct. Interesting red colour, very tangy fruit aroma which follows to a raspberry-and-cherry fruit flavour. Quite sweet.
Certainly drinkable but disappointing when far superior Belgian beers are available. Seems to be made specifically as a crossover beer, or to attract those who don’t usually drink beer?

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle 330 ml. Pours pale ruby red with medium soapy white head. Aroma: artificial aromas of red fruits (mostly cherry). Reminescent of cough drop. Taste is very sweet. Strange (and somehow unpleasant) bitterness in the end. Syrupy texture. Bottom line, while this was better than expected, it remains a slightly below average fruit beer.

2.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
330ml bottle. Pours a clear orangey red with decent sized white head that lasts for a really long time. The aroma is very odd and not great for a beer. It smells of strawberry mixed with fairy liquid or some other sort of soapy mixture. Fortunately the taste is actually alright. Plenty of berries but I can’t get past the weird aroma which is extremely off putting when drinking.

une bière agréable, pas trop sucrée malgré une saveur fruits rouges bien présente... A boire bien fraiche

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Keg in a French bar. Pours rose colour with a frothy fading white head. The taste is sweet and fruity - reminiscent of Ribena. Some lagery notes come through, but otherwise it feels pretty watery. Refreshing enough, but not great.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 11/20
Another far-fetched exploitation of the Leffe abbey beer range, since 2010, originally only on tap. Stable, sticky, off-white head with pinkish hue, deep copper red robe, clear. Artificial sweet cherry extracts in the nose, lemonade, red fruit jam, sweet honey, apple sauce, bread. Again artificial sweet fruits in the mouth, sourish accent, quickly overpowered by a very sweet, lemonade- and grenadine-like cherry sweetness, then fading again in a thin, lightly cloying but otherwise watery finish. Totally artificial and redundant, awful fruit beer.
