Bottle @Kaisla 1.2.12. Poured orange in color, slightly hazy, white head. Fruity aroma of oranges with some yeasty notes. Lively carbonation. Flavor was similar, oranges, sugar, alcohol and some spicy notes. Long sweet finish. Decent tripel, not very complex but easy to drink.

8.5%, deep gold with a thin head, stronger than the Blond, weaker than the Blue (9), great anyway.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 jmm1 (114) - ANDORRA - JAN 7, 2012
Great nose with caramel, coffee, clove, coriander, cinammon, vanilla and ginger. Body is amber and hazy with a nice white foam that leaves a long lacing. Medium sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour in mouth. Medium body, creamy with an average carbonation that leads to a long finish. A beautifully crafted Tripel that keeps with the high quality of the brand.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Countbeer (1686) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - DEC 19, 2011
Bottled many times in the past.
Before the craft brew scene was as big as it is now, there were Kwak, Karmeliet, Duvel, Grimbergen and Leffe (and some others) that were more special than the regular beers available everywhere, but less special than those (rare) craft brews.
The tripel is as I remember it, one of the better brews from Leffe.
Was the blond a bit too fake sweet tasting from time to time, the tripel did have some sweetness too but well balanced with the malts and hops.
But than again, it may not...
Tasted it many times but not wanting to taste this again any time soon.
Overall a bit sweet with malty caramel notes, some fruit and a light bitterness.
Ok, but as time told us, a Duvel, Karmeliet or Kwak are way better than any Leffe.
Get it for your tick...

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2012 30 cl bottle. clear white firm finely bubbled head. golden color and hazy because of the yeast. taste is yeasty with a hint of citrus. This also seems to add some sourness to it that I tend to like. I drank this a lot 10 or more years ago and had forgotten how tasty it is. Will drink again in the near future.

Bottle. Dark golden colour. Slightly hazy because I poured the sediment directly. Oops. Yeasty orange aroma. Bitterfresh flavour with some carbonation going on. Grassy feel to it.
