While not a bad beer - I didn’t quite enjoy it. Too bitter, too rough on the palate. Smelled sweet, but tasted rough. SHIG (2051), Aviano, Italy

Golden color, resembles the Leffe blonde in smell and taste. Very nice, well balanced, the best of the Leffe series according to me. 8/4/8/4/15=3.9
Second rating.
Sampled from 33 cl bottle at Haket, Göteborg.
Bottle marked 8.5% ABV.
Shady amber color, big fluffy white head. Fresh Belgian ale with "wit" scent. Spicy and alcohol taste. 8/3/7/3/15=3.6 nquantz (28), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 29, 2006 Pours hazy, darkish, golden color. Small white head that dissipates quickly. Sweet, fruity aroma. Compared to top tier tripels, a somewhat bland and not very complex taste. Overall, a somewhat disappointing version of a tripel brew. Filthmuppet (33), Newtown, Australia

I dont know... it was just a little disappointing. Was still nice and creamy and was very well finished. Just needed a little more punch. thebeertourist (2867), Oslo, Norway

Spicy yeast aroma with hints of oranges. Sweet flavours, good grassy bitterness. Some bread-like spiciness. Dry finish. Medium to full-bodied with good carbonation. The best I have so far tasted of the Leffe range. LordCrabapple (83), Merseyside, England

Probably my favourite of all the Leffes and all of a sudden found popping up at Sainsburys regularly. A hazy Golden coloured beer with a clean thick head, whilst quite sweet this is balanced well with the strength and despite this ABV a very drinkable beer.
