Rubyish brown, rocky head. Fruity, Cherry, and a spicy alcohol aroma detected, along with a little caramelized malt. Flavour was of oaky fruit, banana, cherry and necterine. Sweet honeyish malt, spice, pepper, along with light piney notes, fairly complex. Dry, bitter and spicy finish with good lingering spice.

More rounded than the Leffe Brune, but also has a lot of alcohol in the taste. Deeb amber colour, very nice.

15 June 2004. Fruity spice complexity with sulphur notes. Low suds lacing, clear medium brown, with nice head retention. Dry start, then sweet fruit, complex flavour that is easy drinking. Palate has a lingering hop complexity.

lightly floral, sweet wheat with a hint of alcohol and a slightly sour/cidery aroma. cola colouration with small creamy head. tasted like a wit with a spicy/peppery alcohol presense. full body that carbonates in the mouth, tingly fizziness on tip of tongue with nice bitterness. surprisingly bitter for a belgian, nice alcohol spiciness and warming alcohol, very tasty.

Dark red with a dainty head. Aromas are fruity and vineous with spices. Flavours are sweet malts, black grapes, burnt toffee, spices and a good deal of bitterness. More hops that I expected and quite a lot of alcohol comes through. A good Leffe.

Caramel/Spice aroma, some dried fruit, light stone fruit. Colour is deep amber brown. Carbonation is very moussy, mouth-filling and champagne like. Flavour is tart, fruity/sour and tongue coating rummy/alcohol. Surprisingly thin body for a beer of this strength. I am a Belgian beer lover who probably looks for more in a beer of this type and I try my hardest to not like the Leffe range but I find them pretty technically corrrect, well made beers. There are better but these are probably good beers for the novice to aquaint themselves with.

Pours clear ruby/amber with a huge off white head. Good retention and lacing. Great fruity aroma of grapefruit, berries, citrus and yeast/spices to back it up. Smooth full body. Flavour is suprisingly simple, just nice clean sweet malts with a bitter spicy lingering finish. Quite yeasty too. Alcohol present, though masked *ok*. Nice.

Dark violet color, flirting with brown, with bright crimson poking through the cracks, adorned with a large, fluffy white head. Aroma: Bam! Big fruit explosion, wild and tasty, winey, and bit sour, a little sharp, juicy, hoppy, and over-all dominated by grape flavor. tingly on the tongue, vibrant, and again, juicy is a most appropriate adjective. Fruit all up in the yin-yang, folks. A bit light-ish in body, with great hops, excellent balance, and eminently drinkable, tantalizingly tasty. Full-flavored, rich and bountiful, rosey, happy, delicious. Great desset choice, if you're lucky enough to try one.

Dark ruby brown. Steady big off-white head, lace. Aroma is sweet berries. Taste is bittersweet with nice sweet and alcoholic aftertaste. Very drinkable and quite similar to Leffe Bruin.
