This is the first in my Leffe Marathon tonight.Fantastic sweet aroma and really good dark colour..This beer reminds me of Christmas, full of mulled wine spices and sugary fruits.Faintly sour and biter aftertaste, but it works......ah well,on to the next one!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Beers of Europe. Dark amber coloured, with large, creamy off-white head. Aroma is yeasty, dark fruits and spicey. Interesting and nice taste; full bodied, malty, and fruity with a slight bitter aftertaste. Excellent.

one of my favorites I do agree with cornboy sometimes it has a wierd aftertaste but the liberal aplication of a second bottle seems to make it disappear for some reason .One of the great beers but not for beginners

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Spicy ripe fruit/raisin aromas. Nice yeasty pour, flavors of yeast/dough with plummy sweetness and spice. What I didnt like is the bitter aftertaste, didnt match the rest of the beer. Alcohol well hidden though

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
(on bottle) By far the best leffe I´ve had. Fat raisin, wood and wheat aromas. Creamy, dates and lots of alcohol in the mouth. Meditationale par exelance. But the violet paperwrapping makes it a bit....girlish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
(33 cl bottle). Deep golden brown colour, no haziness, large head. Aroma is not very strong, but pleasant - yeasty and fruity (canned plums), some spices and herbs too. Full bodied sweet flavour, still quite smooth. Brown candy sugar, Christmas fruit cake spices and herbs prevail. Some alcoholic warmth, but not dominant. A great sipping beer!

Nice rich sweet nose. Malt, caramelized sugar, Belgian yeast, pear. Coppery brown clear with off-white foamy lacing head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts sweet with rich malts, caramel, and no acidity. Good bitterness in the finish to complement the sweet. Warming alcohol and sweet after.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Rubyish brown, rocky head. Fruity, Cherry, and a spicy alcohol aroma detected, along with a little caramelized malt. Flavour was of oaky fruit, banana, cherry and necterine. Sweet honeyish malt, spice, pepper, along with light piney notes, fairly complex. Dry, bitter and spicy finish with good lingering spice.

More rounded than the Leffe Brune, but also has a lot of alcohol in the taste. Deeb amber colour, very nice.
