The authentic Belgian abbey beer: Leffe Vieille Cuvee has a creamy and very aromatic taste.

Head lasted for 76 seconds. Big creamy white bubbles. Lacing. Color is light brown tainted with a dash of ruby. Warmth and sweetness of alcohol at first. Very light bitterness which remains in the aftertaste. Fruits: from the top of my head, light cherry and black currant. Enjoyed with a stale slice of bread and some industrial mayo. Not sure how it affected the whole experience.

OLD NOTES JUL 13, 2004 Pours slighty hazy deep rubyish amber body with big solid head. Sweet spicey aroma with alot of of fruitiness to it, apple and grape possibly. The body is not as full as I expected from a Belgian strong, alcohol warmth is apparent. Dry with a fair bit of spice to it. The body has caramel maltiness to it and sweet fruit flavours. Although not as full as other Belgian strongs, a nice drop.

Cool amber. Holds a white film. Lacey white head. Smells like dark yeast and some sea-salty mist. Very smooth. Full flavored, light stone, light, dark fruit, I know that’s an oxymoron, but you get the idea. This is light, yeasty, fruity, drinkable, smooth and quite good.

0.3 bottle. Dark clear copper with big off white head, short lasting . Sweet fruity yeast aroma. Fresh fruits and alcohol in the taste. Some nuts and malt in the final. Alcohol again in the aftertaste. Thin but lively carbonation, medium body. Nice after dinner drink

The 33cl bottle. Clear red color. Can feel an aromatic maltiness and a reel creamy taste as it is describe. The aromatic taste come from the malt but also from the hop and a slight bitterness come at the end of swallowing. The thickeness is also very well balanced. I was not surprised to find the "Leffe" taste as all the other Leffe beers, you will not be lost !

Bottle. Pours dark amber with big, white, peristent head. Aroma of caramel, spices, chocolate, berries with some perfumy alcohol notes. Sweet caramel taste with nice fruity notes. Pleasant alcohol note. Bittersweet finish. NIce, rich belgian ale.

330ml Bottle. This pours a thick white head over a clear ruby brown body. Its aroma is yeast, banana, caramel and dark berry. Its slightly medicinal when that combination is mixed with the sweetness of the high alcohol content. Its taste is quite typically Belgian. The smokiness and the sweetness are to the fore but theres also malts and a fair bit of dark berry too. It finishes with a sweet bitter aftertaste. I’m surprised this beer was so good coming from Leffe but there are better.
