Backlog review, bottle tasted 08/08/2011. Pours clear, reddish mahogany, fluffy light tan head with good lacing as the head subsides. Aroma is fruity- cherries, prunes- with honey, caramel tickling the nose. Taste is sweet caramel malts, honey underneath, prunes, tobacco, bitter finish, light alcohol. Medium body, not overly smooth but easy to drink all the same. Definitely my favorite Leffe, approaching quite a nice quad but lacking a bit in sophistication. Would try again though, nice.

Bottiglia 33cl. Rossa con schiuma grossolana piuttosto persistente. Dolciastra e complessa. Piuttosto carbonata, buon corpo. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iFonz

Quite good and kopos nice. Strange that you can easily buy beer which is retired (at least in Italy). Among Italian lagers it looks nice, but you know, everybody expexts more from Belgians...

On tap @ Sister’s Pub. Finale lungo, appiccisoso e dolciastro. Secco l’aftertaste.

Bottle. Deep red-orange, foamy head. Strong sweet nose of caramel malt, toffee apple, some cough drop. Light to medium carbonation, with creamy mouthfeel. Sweet and deceptively deep, though the alcohol is quite prominent. Delicious on a rainy afternoon.
