A beutiful deep red color but with no head. It has a very special and nice taste of cinnamon and other spices. It is a very filling beer with a great balance between the hops bitternes and the sweetness of the malt. A very fine beer.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2006 (Bottle 33 cl) Beautiful reddish brown beer, nice full and stable head. Very spicy and sophisticated with enough bitterness to balance the sweetness. Believe this is my Leffe favourite together with "Radieuse". My version was 7,8% ABV. 270593

33 cL bottle. Pours golden deep orange and with a huge, dense and tan head. Light fruit note, solid caramel and mild yeast spice note. Fruity flavour, mild berry and a bit of dried fruit, plum and raisins. Mellow yeast note, slight spiced aswell. Ends with a little sharp alcohol note.

Bottled, found in my own cellar as I moved. Deep rubyish amber colour with mediumsized fluffy off-white head, nice lace. Aroma is caramel, fruits, some bread as well as some alcohol and mild yeastyness. Flavour is spices, alcohol, bread and some fruits along with caramel malts. A very pleasantly balanced beer.

Pours thick and orange brown. Fruity aroma, full bodied, but overly sweet for my liking. Lacks the complexity of the better examples of the style.

Red beer with a big beige head. Sweet aroma with notes of yeast and spices. Good and intensive flavour with lots of sweetness, malt, spices and a well-balanced bitterness. A bit too overcarbonated for my liking.

Amber color. Some malt aroma, with a Madeira note. Malt body, quite powerful, but missing a real character. Alcohol touch.

Red with tiny short lasting head. Sweet fruity aroma with spices. Sweet malt in the flavor with fruit, yeast and spicy notes.
