Clear brown colour with foamy staying head. Aroma of caramel and buscuits. Flavour quickly moves up into your nose - adds lots of caramel, plums, flowers, berries and slight bitterness as well.

330 ml bottle. Dark sunrise orange/light amber, pretty clear, with a huge, fluffy and persistent slightly off white head. On the nose warm bread, some christmas pudding like notes, candied oranges, a hint of leather and some light alchool in the far background. Slightly bitter upfront, but as expected it become extremely sweet, almost cloying. Fruity, slightly spicy and boozy, lots of toffee/burnt caramel presence. The alchool could have been better hidden. Average to lively carbonation, medium body, oily texture. So so.

Pours clear dark copper. Aroma of malt and dark fruit. Tastes dark fruit, biscuit, malt and alcohol. Smooth bitter finish but a bit of a phenolic after taste. A decent Belgian. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Quite big and thick off-white head with good duration, colour is dark brown ruby almost clear. Smells very malty, sweet, dried fruits and sugar. Taste is all malt, caramel, raisins, spices adn syrup. Quite good clean palate, despite the very high sweetness, mimal bitterness at the end. Average carbonation, almost no hop presence at all. Really a bit much too sweet..

330 ml bottle from Bierzwerg. Pours dark amber brown with an off-white head. Aroma of sweet caramel, malt, yeasty fruity tones and sugar. The flavour is spicy, fruity and malty sweet with only a slight hint of hops. A sweet malty finish. A good Belgian ale.

Bottle at home. Dark amber colour with a good creamy head. Burnt caramel and figs in the flavour but not too sweet. Has the typical Leffe character of maltiness. One of their better beers.

This strong dark ale had a gorgeous colour, medium head and the aroma of a rye yeast dough, with some candy sugar and caramel. The flavour also included a slight roast, overall very creamy and pleasant.
