Orange brown beer with a nice head. Fruit, berries and Leffe yeast in the aroma. Flavor is fruity and yeasty (again that distinctive Leffe yeast) and too scented for my liking. A very thick and somewhat cloying beer. Leffe is definately not my favorite!

Although it has 8,2%, It’s a very soft beer. This kind of Leffe beer is very tasty. I would drink again.

Smak: duża pełnia i słodycz, sporo melanoidyn, nut karmelowych, opiekanych, lekka goryczka o przypiekanym charakterze, całość dość ciężka.

The (hopefully) last beer in this brand I haven’t tasted. Has been in existence since 1956 but has not been on the Belgian market anymore for many a year, so I had to buy this in France, where apparently it has also been discontinued now... Moussy, lacing, irregular, off-white head, colour a deep and clear, orangey copper, almost no fizz. Aroma clearly reveals pasteurization (cooked smell), but not as bothersome as in most other Leffe beers; I otherwise get caramel, butterscotch, roasted peanuts, aniseed, honey, iron (quite strong after a while), bubblegum, candied orange and gingerbread. Some fruitiness in the onset, orange and apricot, but mostly a honeyish, sugary sweetness, though it manages to stay ’clean’ and only becomes a bit cloying to the teeth and throat in the end; in between, there are sweet caramelly and toasted, nutty malts, supple and mellow mouthfeel, a bit metallic with rather low carbonation; finish has, apart from the sugary sweetness, a hint of spicy hop bitterness as well as warming, bourbon-like alcohol. A late chemical, rubbery wryness also shows up after a while, but remains subtle enough not to become too unpleasant. In all: less bad than I had feared, maybe the best Leffe of them all, and I’d welcome it on the Belgian market again if it would replace both Leffe Radieuse and Leffe 9°, both of which it bears resemblances with.
