Black in color, has a brown head and it smells of chocolate/coffee. Taste is smooth, chocolate, raisins and it finishes with a strong coffee... Good.

22 oz bottle. Pours dark brown/black with a medium creamy light tan head that goes to a thin film and leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is roasted grains, black licorice, fudgy chocolate and a little dark fruit.
The flavor is bitter charred roasted grain with some black licorice, chocolate and coffee. The mouthfeel is a little thin and watery.
Overall, an OK imperial stout. Itís thin and dominated by charred roast and black licorice.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
10oz on tap. Looks the part, real nasty! Black color, light lacing, light lacing, opaque. The taste is very good, bitter, with moderate complexity. The palate is not good for the style, though. Itís not as rich as Iím used to despite the high abv. Kind of leaves you flat.

Kind of thin on the tongue for an imperial but still acceptable. Worst part is no aroma. Nice chocolate coffee flavors. Light bitterness. Nice lasting head.

Pours a dark inky black with little head. What head it does have is dark tan. Aroma of toasty malts, slightly sweet aroma. Great smell. Taste is mild at first transitioning to slight dark chocolate sweetness with mild bitterness. Slightly thick mouthfeel. Very good.

On tap @ Left Coast. Black in color with a khaki head. Aromas of smoke, roasted malt, char, and dark chocolate. Plenty of coffee and licorice, too. A bit of dark fruit and molasses sweetness. Flavor is on the bitter side with some hints of sweetness. Molasses, licorice, and lots of smoke and roast. Dark chocolate, coffee, and a touch of dark fruit. Burnt sugar is prominent. A bit papery on the finish.

Pours black with small to medium cream brown head, fairly lasting with some lace. Great multilayered malt aroma, roasty, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, some alcohol, caramel, some sweetness - luscious. Medium to full body not thick. Mix of slick and creamy. Very roasty, coffee toasty, bitter chocolate, light hop bitterness, some alcohol warmth.

very malty, chocolately, coffee, sweet, alcohol, a little bitter.
Tastes a little more bitter than expected. Roasty, coffee, bittersweet chocolate, hops, and a little alcohol. Similar to the aroma, but a little less awesome.
