(Draught) Pours an opaque black body with a medium tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. Flavor of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and anise with a dry, boozy, bitter finish.

Bottle from HWC. Color is black with a medium beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate and coffee. Flavor starts dark chocolate followed by coffee, some nuttiness and a light licorice bitterness in the finish. Medium body is smooth with moderate carbonation.

Bomber courtesy of IBrew2or3. Thanks, Dave!! Pours a stout brown with a tan head. Nose is chocolate, roasted malts, some spices, slight licorice, and coffee. Flavor starts with roast, spice, and chocolate, followed by spice (cinnamon?), dark chocolate, and roasted coffee/ cafe con leche in the middle and bitter coffee in the finish. You know, this one is pretty enjoyable. Very mild noticeable booze character for a 9.5% beer.

Nearly black color with a brown head. Sweet milk chocolate aroma with some prunes and raisiny notes. Flavor is smooth, rich chocolate, molasses, finishes a bit sweet.

Pours black with a moderate light brown head that lasts a long time. Aroma of dark chocolate, raisin, bag of coffee beans, char, and maybe black tea or earth. Very inviting. Flavor starts malty with plenty of dark chocolate and velvety coffee flavors, some slight raisin and vanilla, earth, and caramel. Finishes with roast bitterness and a slight vinous note with a moderate bitterness. The flavor in the aftertaste was nice at first, but after a while, it grows pretty tiresome for some reason and demands that water be kept nearby. Full bodied, chewy, heavy on the tongue and the carbonation is at a decent level. No heat. Really nice, but that damn aftertaste is messing things up!

Bottle as shown shared at RBWG 2012. Pours a dark brown with beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is chocolate and nuts. Thin mouthfeel with a smokey malt and roast with a lingering dry finish. A good Imperial stout from Left Coast.

2/25/12. Bomber shared at RBWG 2012. Almost opaque black pour with a small ring of brown head. Rich aroma of chocolate, coffee, and slightly acidic roasted malts. Nice, rich flavor with milk chocolate, a bit of roast, and a hint of acidic tartness. Lingering milk chocolate in the mouth with a touch of coffee.

Dark mahogany pour with a small latte head. Aroma of cocoa, caramel, and a bit of bright hops. Non-descript coffee, toffee, dark malt, and a hint of chocolate in flavor. Not as viscous as I’d like...a little light in body. Unfortunately, missing a lot of complexity. Surprised by the ABV as it wasn’t noticed in the flavor or aroma. Well hidden.

650 ml bottle. Pours an opaque dark brown color with a small tan head that slowly recedes to a fine ring. The aroma is complex with chocolates, dark fruits, molasses, ash and black licorice. The taste was similar to the nose with dark bitter chocolates, dates, sweetened coffee and burnt toast set in an earthy malt base. The palate was a bit thinner than I would prefer and the carbonation is lively. Finishes medium in duration and dry. Overall: I found this quite tasty.

Dark brown/black color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of toasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, & some vanilla; Flavor of roasted malt, caramel, bittersweet chocolate, coffee, and some dark fruit; Warm finish & slightly bitter; Nicely balanced; Tasted a little thin - but a solid stout overall.
