Buttery aroma. Orange body. Sweet taste with a touch if butter and booze heat. Not bad but not a great tripel. Thanks cards04 for the taste

Bomber from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Pours a clear dark amber with a thin frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of pale bready malts, candi sugar, mild yeast and spice, mild fruits in the finish. The taste is candi sugar, caramel, heavy spice, yeast, red apple, bitter herbal hops in the finish. Medium bodied, lingering spice, slight booze. A little brash but still decently balanced. Nice beer.

Apricot, yeast, alcohol aroma.
Taste is sweet, spiced...nectary fruity.

Wow, not my snifter of beer! I have had a lot of Belgium Tripel Ales and this one doesn’t meet the eye. Not a distinctive taste nor a standout aroma or appearance. Sorry.

Poured from 1 pint (6 fl oz) bottle. Orange-ish brown colour with dissipating off-white head. Some mild metal, banana, yeast, coriander, and various spices on the nose. Alcohol covers some of the flavour. Medium-light body, dry finish.

Surprised I hadn’t rated this yet but ok. From the bottle at a party. Very decent triple with some alcohol notes that seemed a little strong. But it was the strongest beer I had tonight

Strong spice and citrus aroma. 12% alcohol is definitely apparent. Hints of citrus, spice, and banana show through on this Belgium Triple. Not bad.

Serving: 22 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a dark amber color with a thin white head. The head fades pretty fast. Slightly medicinal nose with notes of bread, apple, and pale honey. The flavor carries that medicinal, almost band aid like note forward. Rather sweet on the palate with obvious alcohol and a slight breadiness. This one needs to be smoothed out a bit. Certainly not much of a match against some of the better Belgians out there.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy amber with a cm of white head. Aroma is like a lightly spiced apple cider. Taste is the same, but unexpectedly boozy up front, with lots of intense malt flavors and a quickly fading minerality. Nice warming in a winter Belgian-esque. $7/22oz

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22oz bottle -
The beer pours out a dark straw colored body, murky with a nice fluffy 2" off-white head. Aroma is strong with honey-like malts, bread dough, a hint of smoke and rubbing alcohol. Flavor is much too sweet for a tripel, with a strong peppery flavor lurking around. Where is the complexity? Seems like an underattenuated strong ale than a tripel.
