Aroma is heavy BSA malts, caramel and a hint of sweetness. The flavor is caramel/toffee, mild/medium sweetness, mild burnt/off notes, nuttiness and a tart/sour finish.

No head, goes will light carbonation. Pretty sweet, light syrup, overripe light colored fruit, a bit of bite at the end, otherwise this would not be good. Warm. Pretty ok.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Doesn’t really taste too much like a Belgian style tripel. Pours a very interesting clear copper color with a white head. Not much smell, a littl thyme and a little booze. Taste is very malty and boozy, but not much beyond that. Would be decent for a strong ale, but not complex enough for a Belgian tripel. Maybe a little boozy for its own good. Paired with a peach mozzarella spring salad cuts out some of the maltiness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours clear gold, minimumal head, and low carbonation. Nice strong sweet and spicy aroma. Flavor is mild spice, pepper, and buttery. Somewhat syrupy on the palate and a warming in the gut. ABV is nicely hidden. Overall, I enjoyed this, but I’m not sure this is true to style hence the lower score.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber. Poured medium golden with a short white head. The aroma picked up sweeter honey and smoky notes with honey and meaty bread backing.. warm. The flavor found honey and lightly-smoked bread at the core, with peppery alcohol around.. finished spicy and hot. Heavier-bodied with low-ish carbonation.. a bit rough.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured a thin head on a hazy, dark straw colored body.
The aroma is overripe fruit, candy-like.
The taste is quite sweet overall with some pear and apple. Finishes with an alcohol warmth.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
It’s a very sweet tasting beer without any of the complexities and balance of a good tripel.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very fruity, sweet, and boozy on the nose. Pours a very flat head--would have liked more lively carbonation. Little strong and a little sweet for me, though certainly worth a try!

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a hazy orange hard candy with no head. Aroma:caramel, spruce, herbs, basement aromas, alcohol, maybe some banana, vanilla... Most interesting aspect of the brew. Taste is way sour... Palate: Lingering bitter astringent... Won’t buy again.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 fl oz / 650ml bottle into a trappist glass. Served cold.
Aroma: Sweetish, maybe a little caramel. Yeast is slightly sour. Not the typical fresh bread that I’m used to from Belgian style ales.
Appearance: Hazy, dark amber body, very sparse head.
Taste: Sourish, tart yeast. A little bit of spice; cloves, nutmeg. Pretty exceptionally tart though. Eh.
Palate: Medium body, long boozy finish. The alcohol is obvious. Kind of a warmer.
Overall: Not what I was expecting at all. After having Chimay’s Triple a couple of days ago, and Rochefort 10, I was expecting something a little breadier, a little sweeter. It’s a good beer, and a fun take on the style, but it’s not my favorite, and I think I prefer a slightly sweeter Triple/Quad over this guy.
