2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Golden in color with a copper tint and slight white head. Honey and pineapple aroma. Sweet and heavy bodied for a tripel with some spice notes and a slight earthiness in the finish.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
as soon as i started to pur this i thought "aww, man this fucker is oxidized, how old is it?" paper dust cardboard notes are strong. smells like old wax wrapped around dry honey. pours what can only be described as piss when you haven’t been drinking enough liquids. first sip is all husked up grains and age/ this tastes like someone with alzheimers made oatmeal. just so many things are wrong. and i have 22oz’s to drink. i will look for another sample, but will post this rating in case it is a beer issue and not an age issue.no bottle dates that i can see so i can’t disqualify this from that info.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
"A solid if not spectacular triple. Equal parts sweet, fruit, bubble gum and clove like spice, nose and flavor the same. Medium bodied. Shoes some alcohol but not too bad."

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a crisp yet hazy golden color. Aroma is of spice and more of a tar rather than resin. Hints of banana and clove with a slight earthy and malty tone. Taste of spice and clove with a hint of honey and hay mixed with dough. Sweetness hits you in the front and light bitterness in the back which fades quickly. Overall this is a good beer in which I could drink again. It’s not bad at all but yes I have had better Belgians

Botella de 65 cl en el lúpulo en marzo de 2012. Estilo belga con sabores dulces y una buena sensación alcohólica proporcionada por sus 11 vol. Ligero amargor. Buena.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Archive Beer Boutique January 2014. Great beer and great label. Fruity notes fill the nose and the beer fills the mouth with wonderful flavours - melon, peach, nectarine.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
OK, we have quite a sweet alcohol bomb here. Seems like these guys aren’t familiar with brewing Belgian ales. Pours clear dark gold with a very slight white head that is gone instantly, but does leave slight lacing. Aroma is hard candy, caramel, grain, and booze. This is overwhelmingly sweet, almost like a cordial. There is some spiciness, maybe coriander, but the sweetness mostly covers it. Medium to full body, syrup-like texture, soft carbonation, and long, sweet finish. It was a good price at $6.99 for a 22 oz. bottle, but I don’t think I will be repeating this experiment. The 11.8% abv packs a punch if that’s what you’re after.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Quite a stretch at calling this a tripel. Karmeliet will always be the benchmark. Lots of candy, caramel sweetness, darkish amber, minimal head. Aroma is also sugary sweet, tending towards Southern Comfort. Lots left lacking here....
