COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There is nothing like summer, and no better way to celebrate than with an ice cold Board Walk Saison Ale. The Saison yeast strain provides this brew with a pleasant citrus aroma. Board Walk finishes off with a slight bitterness. Wheat malt balances out all of the flavors keeping this brew silky smooth.

650 ml bottle from Bev4less. Pours a pale orange color with a small white head that soon diminishes to a fine film. The aroma is understated with white fruits, Belgian yeast and dust. The flavor shows some mild Belgian Pils malts, a bit of fruity wheat and a bit o’ biscuit. The palate is full and smooth with soft carbonation. Finishes medium in duration and dry with a bit of astringency. Overall: A nice dry saison, I’d buy again. Re-rate note: The top half of this bottle was translucent but the bottom half was cloudy and murky and much better tasting.

Very good beer, nice ABV for the money, frothy head, medium body, goes down easy, long finish, cloudy.

Bottle from the Whole Foods on Lamar. Yellow pour with a big white head. Aroma is faint, flowery, and a little tart. Taste is very dry, a little spicy, slight citrus, and dry. Dry finish.

Rich golden color with a white head. Strong Belgian yeast aroma with a sharpness that’s a bit surprising. Strong malty taste with a fruity finish and a body that’s, overall, a bit peppery. The flavor has a good bitterness to it and a dry finish as well.

Bomber from World Beers. Clear gold pour with a pale yellow head with good retention and leaving heavy lace. A small amount of sediment will cloud the pour depending on how it is decanted. Nose is light Belgian malt, lemon, banana and funk. Medium-light body with vigorous, fine carbonation. Black pepper, farmhouse funk, light sugary sweetness, lemon, ripe fruit and some wheat bread. Finish is of medium length and almost entirely bitter. Not one of my favorite saisons, but serviceable.

Pours a hazy straw with a nice white head and great lacing. Very Nice pear, clove, and citrus aroma. Taste is not as good the aroma or looks. Some spice, bread and a hint of citrus. Nice carbonation.

One of the weakest examples of this style that I have ever had. Does this brewery do anything worthwhile? ’Cause I have yet to taste it.

Yellow with a good head. A nice, dry Saison, brewed until quite dry. This one is worth seeking out for the wheat malt twist.

Mild yeasty aroma. Touch of citrus cleaning spray. Pours hazy straw with big white head. Taste is citrus yeast with black pepper. Nice lingering sourdough taste. Enjoyable brew.
