COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Smooth, clean, and rather rich, with a depth of malt character. This is one of the classic malty styles, with a maltiness that is often described as soft as well as complex.

12 fl.oz. bottle. Pours clear golden colour with a mid-sized white head. Aroma of pale malt, straw, mild hops. Taste of pale malt, grains, mild hops, metallic hops, boring!

Light gold pour with little lacing and no head. Deep malt flavors that came through very well.

Bottle. Clear golden body with a short-lived head. Low carbonation. Very little lacing. Aroma of cereal, earth and lemon. Flavour of sweetcorn, lemon biscuits and a touch of honey. Thin body with a watery texture. Light fizz. Clean and easy drinking.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly crystal clear bright golden yellow color with a small dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of bready malt and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of bready malt and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly creamy/bready/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very nice Dortmunder lager style. All around good robustness and balance of bready malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and clean to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Clear, pale. Standard longneck, fair label. Straw - cereal aroma. A little mineral, malty, under-carbonated, reasonably bittered without being astringent. Eurolager. ABC Liquors, Bull Run.

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2015 Bottle from Total Wine in Huntington Beach. Pours light gold with a fizzy white head. Aroma is bready with a touch of grassy/spicy. Near med body. Flavor is bready with some interesting grass and spice bits. Not the typical Helles hop impact. Not more. Just seems more complicated. Good for the style.

Fatehunter (1951) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - AUG 30, 2015
Pours a half finger of head on a clear golden body. The aroma is a nice grain and biscuit smell. The taste has a solid bitterness throughout, a little metallic but true to style. The texture is crisp and fizzy. Nice.

Ft. Lauderdale, Fl - Total Wine - 12 oz bottle. Slightly hazy, medium golden pour, soft snow white head, light lacing. Aroma is bready and yeasty, pleasant. Solid grainy flavor, some honey sweetness, a bit of yeast in the back end along with some nuttiness. Crisp mouthfeel. Decent, good representation of the style.
