COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This American Style Hefeweizen (pronounced He-fe-vite-zin) is unfiltered and naturally cloudy from the generous use of imported wheat malt. It has a refreshing, bready flavor and a distinct creamy, taste and texture. This lightly hopped beer is very enjoyable and easy to drink with a great wheat after taste.

Draft; at Mission Valley location. Poured a hazy, yellow color with a medium sized white head. Arooma of hay, wheat and yeast. Not a great aroma nor characteristic of the style. Flavor was similar; more of an American wheat/wheat ale. If this is truly a hefe, it totally missed the mark.

A: The beer pours a slightly cloudy pale straw color with a sizable white head. S: Not surprisingly, no banana or clove or bubblegum aromas here. Instead, green apple, lemon, and sour wheat. I don’t really even get any bread or malt aromas. T: Tastes very much like a green Jolly Rancher. Big time green apple flavor with some lemon, lemon zest, and sour wheat flavors. Grass flavors come out of nowhere and there is a strong astringency to it. M: Light to medium in body with a medium level of carbonation. O: Just bad. Avoid this one.

Tap at Point Loma. Pours hazy yellow with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Flavor is heavy malt (bread, cookie), light hops (earthy), and average esters (banana, citrus) with notes of clove. Light body, low warmth and creaminess, medium carbonation with a dry finish.

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of malt and wheat as well as lighter notes of banana. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and wheat, but also lighter notes of corn and banana, leaidng to a dry wheaty finish. Boring.

Draught at Oggi’s, Sta. Clarita, CA. Cloudy golden, no head. Neutral nose. Fairly sweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Light wheat malt flavour, some lemon from the wedge dumped in it, otherwise a neutral wheat ale with no hefeweizen characteristics.

Tap at oggis in Glendale. Very very cloudy yellowish gold pour. Barely any head. Lots of wheat, very light on the spice aroma. Flavor is yeasty and wheaty...lacks the good spice I would expect. Drinkable? Yes. Good? Maybe.

On tap. Clear golden with a white head. Lightly malty aroma. Medium body, sweet malts and a dry, hoppy finish. Not bad as such just way off style for a Hefe. 080709
