At Left Coast Brewing Co. we pride ourselves on being one of the pioneers of Double IPA style craft beer. This hop monster uses Premium American 2– Row and a touch of light crystal malt to create a solid malt foundation. Five different Hop Varieties are used in the Hop Juice. It spends two weeks dry hopping in fermenter contributing to its great hop aroma. Starts out sweet and finishes with the crisp bitterness of a Double IPA. This drinkable blend will have you HOPPING till nights end.

For those among us who like a strong DIPA, this a great beer. Good nose, great hoppy taste, and strong finish. Glad I found this one.

Pours a merkey copper orange color with a thick frothy soapy head. Aroma is mild piney hops with a Sweet chocolate malt. Taste follows the Aroma well. Very some but very good ipa. More on the malty side then I was expecting. Yum!

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Chesapeake, VA. Hazy yellowish-orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of light citrus, wet grass, and pine needles. The taste is bitter with notes of pine and fresh flowers, but also features enough tropical fruit flavors of mango and pineapple to help balance with dulling the hop by throwing too much malt into the equation. Nice beer!

Bottled. Pours slightly hazy golden with a medium sized, lacing off-white head. Aroma of citrus, pine and caramel. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry and nice bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice DIPA.

Bottled. Pours hazy and pale amber with a huge off-white head leaving a nice lace on the glass. Nose with citrus, tropical fruits, floral elements and caramel notes. Sweet flavor of citrus, orange, excotic fruits, pine + caramel and spicy notes. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. More dry and markedly bitter finish. A real hops bomb.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a thin head. Aroma of dank, tropical, melon hops, caramel malts. The taste is bitter herbal, dank, tropical hops with some caramel malts. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness, decent balance.

clear deep golden, slightly amber. beige super creamy head with good lacing. aroma has lots of caramel, plenty of citrus/pine in the hops, but not overpowering. flavor is a nice balanced mix of caramel malts with plenty of resin/pine/citrus hoppiness. Finish is really long and numbs the tongue a bit. I’m totally burned out on DIPAs, but I think this is a really well made one.

This is a solid double IPA. The appearance and palate insane though. Grassy and pine hops dominate the aroma. Great beer to go with Enchanted and Christmas. Woo Santa!

On tap: If you have ever had Bells Hopslam, it's a lot like that. Little carbonation.. Lots of malt sweetness. If you like hops and sweet beers, this Double IPA should be high on your list. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz. bomber. Finally getting around to this one. It pours a nice clear deep golden orange with a lasting white head. The aroma is sweet hop candy with peaches, florals, mild grapefruit and caramel. Some faint hints of those sweet circus peanut candies. The flavor is bitter and floral with some pretty strong alcohol, peach, and and piney/florals in the finish. Full bodied, but not too cloying. The alcohol leaves a burn. Pretty good IIPA, if a bit alcoholic.

Bottled: unk A: Pours amber ale with two fingers of faded caramel foam which slowly falls to a quilt of the same. Ringed sheets of lacing. Good looker. S: Tangerines, pine, a bit of floral character (soapy). Some distantly sweet malts in the back. T: Hmm, was this done with belgian yeast?! Has a yeasty, coriander like flavor I often associate with tripels. Otherwise, quite bitter with creamy sweetness off the malt/weird flavor. Some peppery sage like flavors. Not really digging this as a DIPA M: Medium on heavy body for the style. Moderately smooth and lifeless carbonation. O: Really surprised by this beer, with a name like hop juice, I thought this would be a little more complex. Huh, guess I got sold. Not a very good beer. Serving type: bottle 09-02-2011
