COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At Left Coast Brewing Co. we pride ourselves on being one of the pioneers of Double IPA style craft beer. This hop monster uses Premium American 2– Row and a touch of light crystal malt to create a solid malt foundation. Five different Hop Varieties are used in the Hop Juice. It spends two weeks dry hopping in fermenter contributing to its great hop aroma. Starts out sweet and finishes with the crisp bitterness of a Double IPA. This drinkable blend will have you HOPPING till nights end.

Right on the money! Hits all tbe marks for a DIPA, and then some. Slightly hazy body, creamy head and thick lacing. Smooth piney hops backbone.

Bottle from CBX. Hazy copper pour with a fluffy white head. Dank, sticky, grapefruit and tangerine hops in the nose with a bready caramel malt background. Flavor is quite similar yet not as malty as I was expecting with a dry bitter finish. Not too shabby.

Bottle from total wine. Pours clear copper with a medium sized white head. The aroma has a lot of sweet orange but little else. The taste has a nice bitterness with a dry finish. There is a bit of a citric balance.

Pours a slightly hazy amber with very little head. Aromas of grapefruit and pine with some caramel malt and a hint of sweet alcohol. Surprisingly light mouthfeel for a beer this big. Alcohol is slightly present but otherwise big pine hop flavors come through. Not as overpowering as expected but instead very balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a murky orange amber with a short off-white head diminishing to a thin skim and patchy lacing. Nose is caramel malt, pine and citrus hoppiness. Taste is caramel malt followed by pine resin and mango. Mouth feel is medium-bodied with low carbonation and a slippery, buttery texture. Too sweet for my taste - a DIPA (especially one called Hop Juice!) should be dominated by hops, not malt - yet I find that malt dominates in both the nose and the taste. No date code on the bottle, but I wonder if this one is past its prime?
