At Left Coast Brewing Co. we pride ourselves on being one of the pioneers of Double IPA style craft beer. This hop monster uses Premium American 2 Row and a touch of light crystal malt to create a solid malt foundation. Five different Hop Varieties are used in the Hop Juice. It spends two weeks dry hopping in fermenter contributing to its great hop aroma. Starts out sweet and finishes with the crisp bitterness of a Double IPA. This drinkable blend will have you HOPPING till nights end.

12oz bottle shared, pours deep orange with white head. Huge hop nose you name its in there. Citrus and pine and grassy. Medium bodied and not cloying like some can be. Very nice hop flavor blended well and not overly bitter. Has some caramel tones in there.

Bottle: Hazy amber-orange with a small, off-white head. Orange malt aroma. Taste is sweet, orange, citrus, a little pine. Heavier resin notes at finish. Not bad at all, but pretty mild for a double.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a hazy copper color with a decent off white head. The nose is mostly citrusy hops. The flavor has a sweet maltiness up front. Lighter pine and citrus in the back. Missing any kind of big hop punch. Seems like just a pale ale to me, with double the alcohol mind you.

Bottle. Great appearance, no balance, bland taste, so-so aroma of hops. Tastes of caramel, overwhelming. Would not recommend.

Pours a medium amber / mahogany with tall off white head and decent lacing. Aromas of toffee, a little caramel, biscuit, pine, grass cutting, and a slightly vegetal hop character. Taste starts as rich toffee and subtle biscuit and moves into a bright piney hop character with subtle hints of lawnmower trimmings and a bit of woodiness. Finish has a slight alcohol warming with a medium bitter acidity. Hops seem to combat with the malts and alcohol a bit. I would have probably gone with different hop line up.

Flavorful and rich. Nice malt notes that overpowered a bit the hoppiness that I expect in an IPA, but balanced overall. I would definitely give it another try... time and again

Im a big fan of IPAs and Left Coast, but just dont care for this beer. Its very one-note - just hops and nothing else. Slightly cloudy pour. Aroma is lots of pine, a little citrus. Flavor is an over-poweringly resin. Very dry finish.

Bottle. Seems very hot for some odd reason. Does start sweet and finishes pungent. Not crisp. Something off. Maybe old ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Drank at Jasmines in Costa Mesa. Amber pour from bottle with moderate white head. Slightly sweet with a clean bitter finish. Not too shabby ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
