At Left Coast Brewing Co. we pride ourselves on being one of the pioneers of Double IPA style craft beer. This hop monster uses Premium American 2– Row and a touch of light crystal malt to create a solid malt foundation. Five different Hop Varieties are used in the Hop Juice. It spends two weeks dry hopping in fermenter contributing to its great hop aroma. Starts out sweet and finishes with the crisp bitterness of a Double IPA. This drinkable blend will have you HOPPING till nights end.

Draught at OT. Rather small hop aroma for a double IPA. Small head. Big hop taste with a well balanced bitterness. Good caramell and sweetness.

22oz bottle thanks to illidurit. Orange with a lasting white head. The aroma was a bit lacking for a DIPA, with some pine, light spice, and earthy, oniony hops. The flavor is hoppy with a bitter piney finish, sweet grainy malts, and light spice. Medium bodied. Lasting bitterness in the finish. While the bitter/malt balance is good, the hop aroma and flavor seemed a bit odd and weren’t really my thing.

Pours a crystal clear golden orange color with a small lasting white head. Big grapefruit juice aroma with pale malt, a little honey, maybe tangerine. Flavor is grapefruity and citric acidic with a boozy hoppy sharpness. Herbal in the finish with a disappointingly moderate bitterness. The alcohol helps evaporate the beer from the palate, leaving an astringent aftertaste. Doesn’t really live up to the Hop Juice moniker.

Svesse (7849) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JUN 14, 2009
(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 13 June 2009) Amber colour with brief, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of caramel, citrus, pine needles and marzipan. Fruity, malty taste with orange peel, caramel, sweet malt and lots of pine needles in a really hoppy finish. Full body, fairly sweet. Grerat balance between all the piney hops and the malt. Great beer.

Pours a nice reddish-gold with respectable foamy head. Aroma is all over the place pungent hops. Being a bit hod sensitive, it almost makes me nervous to drink. Light, piney taste initially, followed by the mellow finish. Bitterness is everpresent, but doesn’t make it hard it drink. It’s decent, but I wouldn’t skip other beers to get to it.

Bottle all the way from San Diego to Sylva NC!!! thanks to j-tiki. Pours a golden beer with a big fluffy off white head. Aroma is pine hoppy citrus. Flavor is sweet piny, grapefruit and pure hops, body is thick but easy to drink. This taste like sucking on a hop. Crazy beer but good!

This one is IN-TENSE! Deep rich golden yellow color, with small head a little carbonation. The aroma is knock-you-down hoppy. It is awesome. Flavor on the other hand is a little over the top. It has a tangy sweetness that is too much for my liking. It has a thick mouthfeel that I joked was almost ’syrupy.’ It is definitely a unique beer. Worth a try, it really lives up to its name!

Bottle thanks to Snojerk321. Pours a slightly hazy liquid gold with a fluffy head. Nose is citric at first and then sweet. Some pine and passionfruit come through. It’s a bit cloying for my tastes, though finishes surprisingly dry. Decent.
