At Left Coast Brewing Co. we pride ourselves on being one of the pioneers of Double IPA style craft beer. This hop monster uses Premium American 2– Row and a touch of light crystal malt to create a solid malt foundation. Five different Hop Varieties are used in the Hop Juice. It spends two weeks dry hopping in fermenter contributing to its great hop aroma. Starts out sweet and finishes with the crisp bitterness of a Double IPA. This drinkable blend will have you HOPPING till nights end.

Drank at Jasmines in Costa Mesa. Amber pour from bottle with moderate white head. Slightly sweet with a clean bitter finish. Not too shabby ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Max’s. Pours clear amber with creamy white head. Aroma is floral and citrus hops, biscuit and cookie malts, light toast, and oranges. Flavor is dry malt base quickly followed by floral hop bitterness, some caramel sweetness, and light fruit esters; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

Yeesh, nothing subtle about this one. Lighter pour than expected, pine aroma from beginning to end. Hop forward, more pine, resinous, oily mouthfeel with that pine tree smell all over the place. If I was in the mood for hop overload this would deliver. Very bitter but not over the top, crisp with modest malt balance. Better than expected for a double IPA that is trying to stand out. More enjoyable than a lot of HOP BOMB type beers for a hint of restraint. Just a hint. Would I drink again? yes. Would I order again? maybe.

Appearance was gold with creamy off white diminishing 1 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are sweet crystal, pale malts with burst of citrus and tropical, hints of alcohol. Taste are sweet malts backbone upfront and med swallow with ending grapefruit, lemon, orange, pine resin and warmin alcohol. Palate was soft smooth creamy CO2 with medium- full body, then lasting sticky smooth fruity, piney finish. A good solid piney DIPA.

Well, Damn, we have a winner. The aroma alone is worth the price of admission. Hop Juice is serious business--serious hops and serious satisfaction. I don’t know how to describe the hop spectrum or profile because it is off the charts good. Simply excellent. Serving: 22oz bomb / via craftbeerconnect.

Bottle. Orange pour. Sweet boozy aroma with an earthy dank resinous hop aroma. Flavor is sweet and boozy up front. Bitter back end. Just ok.

Color is a nice deep amber, foam is solid and rocky. The aims is at first hop resin, then caramel. There are citrus and pine notes. Flavor is hoppy and strong on the caramel. It is almost syrupy. Finish is nice and clean. Yummy sipping beer.

Pours a clear golden/copper with about 2’’ of head that hung around for awhile and eventually left plenty of lacing. Aroma is very weak for the style and definitely not very hoppy as I was expecting. Actually I am struggling to detect any hops although I have had some hoppy beers prior to this. I do detect slight caramel malt notes. Taste is also very bland with a little caramel sweetness and very little bitterness. I have no idea why this is called hop juice because there are many IPAs that are much hoppier. Being a DIPA I expected this to be a hop monster. Medium bodied with above average carbonation. A below average DIPA.
