COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At Left Coast Brewing Co. we pride ourselves on being one of the pioneers of Double IPA style craft beer. This hop monster uses Premium American 2– Row and a touch of light crystal malt to create a solid malt foundation. Five different Hop Varieties are used in the Hop Juice. It spends two weeks dry hopping in fermenter contributing to its great hop aroma. Starts out sweet and finishes with the crisp bitterness of a Double IPA. This drinkable blend will have you HOPPING till nights end.

Draft sample. Hazy orange in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of caramel, mandarin oranges, and latex paint. Flavors are more of the same sweet caramel, sweet orange and paint, along with notes or white pepper, booze, and grassy bitterness. Something is not quite right here.

Small bottle. Golden amber with a white head. Aroma of grapefruit, some pine and herbs, light caramel and cookies. Very sweet light toffee but bitterness kicks in almost straight away. More than grapefruit than pine, oranges and hints of tropical fruit.. Dries out enough to keep it drinkable and not so sweet that hops aromatics are occluded. They stick around awhile. Alcohol sticks out a little at the end too. Not especially memorable but pleasant enough.

12 oz bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a clear golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have a decent balance between hops and malts; piney, grapefruit citrus hops with toasted bread and sweet caramel malts. There is a good amount of sweetness, but just enough hop character to make this good.

Bottle pour clear copper, thin white head with decent lacing. Moderate aroma is sweet floral. Flavor is malty sweet with floral hop oils, mostly masking high gravity. Finish is smooth, not overly bitter. Pretty solid DIPA :) ---Rated whilst imbibing

From a 12 oz bottle shared in Avon NC. Pours a clear copper with an off white head. Fruity nose with some caramel notes. Flavors of orange and butterscotch. Bitter finish.

12oz bottle, thanks to tmoney99 for sharing. Clear golden orange color. Ring of bubbly white head. Dots of lace. Toasty spicy caramel malt aroma up front, some piney spicy hop. Grapefruit, citrus. Moderate plus sweet taste, moderate bitter. OK double IPA... Decent hop, but a lot of sweet malt that kind of overshadows the hop. Bigger sweet malt, over top of the decent hops.

Happy but sweet. This beer reminds me of a lighter version of dogfish head 120. The alcohol percentage is definitely lower than the 120 but the taste more than makes up for it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Medium to heavy complex hop and earthy malt aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy smooth bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a solid beer.

Pour from bomber into snifter. Orange in color with no head. Aromas of pine and sweet malts. Flavors of sweet flowers with a bready hop finish. Somewhat syrupy on the mouth with little carbonation. Middle to low on the DIPA scale, much better out there.

sweeter than your average DIPA and a little frutier perhaps. Not the best body in the style, but no glaring faults either. Adequately bittersweet finish.

Poured from the bottle of a four pack into a pint glass. Pours a super non-see thru mystic orange which slowly turns almost white at the top and bottom. Its like an orange color palate. I was kinda blown back by the hops on the first chug but within 5 minutes i’d finished the first bottle. It’s hard to believe this beer is 9.7% except my ears are ringing after 2 of them. This is a winner all the way around!!
