2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Draft sample. Hazy orange in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of caramel, mandarin oranges, and latex paint. Flavors are more of the same sweet caramel, sweet orange and paint, along with notes or white pepper, booze, and grassy bitterness. Something is not quite right here.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Deep, ruddy orange, with an almost opaque visual, and a big poofy head. Drinks with some serious viscosity, and a burning, oily resin. But it is quite drinkable for a 9.7% beer, so look out world. (#5449, 3/2/2014)

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From notes, consumed on 6/9/13. Bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy gold/honey orange with a finger of off-white head. Slow to moderate head fading with decent retention and light lacing. Aromas of toast, biscuit/bread, grapefruit citrus, tropical fruit, light pine. Tasting notes of toasted malt, bitter grapefruit, light pine, biscuit/bread, big hops. Malty mouthfeel with a medium body and semi-dry finish. Alcohol is pretty noticeable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 Fl. Oz. Poured clear, orange with a generous off-white head and lots of lacing on the glass. piney hops and mild malt notes. Taste has sweet malt notes that is actually necessary because it also has lots of heat from alcohol and bitterness from hops. Great DIPA very enjoyable.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
For those among us who like a strong DIPA, this a great beer. Good nose, great hoppy taste, and strong finish. Glad I found this one.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a merkey copper orange color with a thick frothy soapy head. Aroma is mild piney hops with a Sweet chocolate malt. Taste follows the Aroma well. Very some but very good ipa. More on the malty side then I was expecting. Yum!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Chesapeake, VA. Hazy yellowish-orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of light citrus, wet grass, and pine needles. The taste is bitter with notes of pine and fresh flowers, but also features enough tropical fruit flavors of mango and pineapple to help balance with dulling the hop by throwing too much malt into the equation. Nice beer!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
clear deep golden, slightly amber. beige super creamy head with good lacing. aroma has lots of caramel, plenty of citrus/pine in the hops, but not overpowering. flavor is a nice balanced mix of caramel malts with plenty of resin/pine/citrus hoppiness. Finish is really long and numbs the tongue a bit. I’m totally burned out on DIPAs, but I think this is a really well made one.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a solid double IPA. The appearance and palate insane though. Grassy and pine hops dominate the aroma. Great beer to go with Enchanted and Christmas. Woo Santa!

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
If you have ever had Bells Hopslam, it's a lot like that.
Lots of malt sweetness. If you like hops and sweet beers, this Double IPA should be high on your list.
