COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At Left Coast Brewing Co. we pride ourselves on being one of the pioneers of Double IPA style craft beer. This hop monster uses Premium American 2– Row and a touch of light crystal malt to create a solid malt foundation. Five different Hop Varieties are used in the Hop Juice. It spends two weeks dry hopping in fermenter contributing to its great hop aroma. Starts out sweet and finishes with the crisp bitterness of a Double IPA. This drinkable blend will have you HOPPING till nights end.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2009 Bomber. Apricot body, hazy, topped with a small, off-white head that coats the glass in sheets and rings of lacework. Palate is medium-full, with a light little zip of soft, foamy carbonation and a dryish finish. The aroma is a nondescript amalgamation of hops that is unmistakably "a lot of hops," resin, lightly floral, pizza dough, honey. Hops, hops, hops! Starts out with a blast of pine and hop oil, pungent, almost burnt or overcooked--something, subdued notes of grapefruit rind, honeyed malts, long, strong and pleasant hop finish (pleasant because it mellows out to reveal some nice floral and citrus notes). Hell of a lot of hops. Not the best beer, but plenty hoppy. I miss PP@SC. 8/23/2006 On tap @ pizza port SC. Small white head topping a honey colored, clear body. Sheets of lace fade into delicate lacework. She smells like flowers and honey, with a touch of citrus. It must have been the esters. Mouth was beautiful: medium with lots of foamy carbonation--done well, mind you--and a very dry finish. Starts with a touch of honey and then slaps you with a firm hand full of piny hops, wood tones and some light hints of alcohol as she warms up. I appreciated this beer. Enjoyed. Slightly astringent. Well designed. "Hop Juice" indeed! Better like it bitter with an emphasis on pine.

Poured from tap into a large snifter. Light but deep reddish/amber with a thick white head that gives way to thick lacing. Aroma is citrus and pine. Taste matches, but definitely heavy on the pine. Very dry finish that lasts for awhile, giving way to slight sweetness.

Deep gold with hints of apricot orange colors. Sticky whiteh head. Grapefruit hops and sticky caramel malt nose. Flavor is big and bold with citrus hops, grassy hops, and a very big sweet caramel malt backbone.

Beer pours a light straw. Aroma is virtually non-existant, and a tad malty, which is a bit odd for a double IPA. A thin head retains well and laces down the glass. Flavor profile is strong, bitter hops. Lots of pine - strong malt backbone, but not overly sweet. Hop flavor lasts through initial sip to the mid part of your tongue and even through the finish. This is not a smooth drinker. It’s a good double IPA, but not one I’d necessarily seek out.

Pours hazy deep orange with a small white head. Aroma is strong citrus and sweet caramel.Taste is overall sweet, almost cloying, medium bodied, bordering to watery. Could wish for some more hop bitterness here. Light bitter/sweet finish, harsh.

She’s a simple brew. Take hops, add hops and then finish with more hops. Bitter and dry, did mention hops? Hops is predominant. It’s about hops. Hops. HOPS! But in juice form.
