At Left Coast Brewing Co. we pride ourselves on being one of the pioneers of Double IPA style craft beer. This hop monster uses Premium American 2– Row and a touch of light crystal malt to create a solid malt foundation. Five different Hop Varieties are used in the Hop Juice. It spends two weeks dry hopping in fermenter contributing to its great hop aroma. Starts out sweet and finishes with the crisp bitterness of a Double IPA. This drinkable blend will have you HOPPING till nights end.

Clear dark yellow, wan frothy head. Wonderful hoppy aroma, seemingly some Columbus here. Very pungent and woody. Very balanced flavor, somewhat doughy and subdued on the malt side, with plenty of earthy, slowly building woody and piney hop notes. Softly malty, assertively bitter finish. Wonderfully put together.

Bomber. This pours copper with a foamy thin head with huge lacing. Big ass aroma of citrus that stings the nose. Flavor is loaded with grapefruit, pine, and orange peel. Big bitter bite that lasts and a mild warming buzz in the gut. It is so good and so easy to drink. Excellent IIPA.

22 oz bomber bought at Cap N’Cork in L.A. Pours a beautiful clear copper orange with a medium sized beige head. Aroma leaps up from the bottle; strong tangerine citrus, apricots, and fresh pine needles. Taste of tangerine citrus, apricots and wet fresh pine needles. Alcohol exceedingly well worked in. Excellent !!

Served in a 22 oz brown bottle, poured into a clean glass. Subtle malty aromas over powered with lots of hops! Sweet taste balanced with lots of bitterness, that doesn’t linger. Refreshing and leaves you ready for more. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had this one a couple times now in Dec. Perfect for the Christmas holiday season since it has that ’fresh cut Christmas tree in your mouth’ taste. Sweet and resiny with a bit of malt. Poured out of a bomber bottle into a 12 oz. glass to break it into two servings. This is yummy. My new go to IIPA for under $5 at Albertson’s.

Hazy amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Softish palate. Fine carbonation. Smooth creamy malt base, a little toffee. Juicy pine hops with citrus, tropical fruits and a little grass. It’s a rich heady mix with nothing dominating. Finishes semi dry. Very very fine DIPA.

A great beer from a great brewery. They made a very hoppy beer. But amazingly it is very light. Reminds me off hoptimum from Sierra Nevada

This beverage reminded me of the 2012-2013 Yale men’s hockey team: it came out of nowhere, blew away the competition and took home the hardware. Nice golden hues and citrusy aroma up front...it appeared to be nothing special, but the back end of this brew smacked me with hops and a slight cotton-candy taste. Extremely hopped-up delight that is my title-winner for favorite new brew in the summer of 2013.

This is a superb IPA. Very fruity, lots of pineapple and grapefruit aromatics and just the right amount of bitters. Super tasty and drinkable.

Bottle. Deep, ruddy orange, with an almost opaque visual, and a big poofy head. Drinks with some serious viscosity, and a burning, oily resin. But it is quite drinkable for a 9.7% beer, so look out world. (#5449, 3/2/2014)
