COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At Left Coast Brewing Co. we pride ourselves on being one of the pioneers of Double IPA style craft beer. This hop monster uses Premium American 2– Row and a touch of light crystal malt to create a solid malt foundation. Five different Hop Varieties are used in the Hop Juice. It spends two weeks dry hopping in fermenter contributing to its great hop aroma. Starts out sweet and finishes with the crisp bitterness of a Double IPA. This drinkable blend will have you HOPPING till nights end.

Bomber from Antioch Fine Wine. Pours orangish with a foamy white head leaving nice lacing. Aroma has oranges, grapefruit and caramel with some pine. Taste is of sweet fruits, bitter citrus, loads of pine and spicy florals, and a nice solid caramel malt base. Sticky with quite a bit of depth and hints of alcohol. Finishes long and sweetly bitter. This is yummy!

Deep amber with a thick head. Nice hop aroma with notes of pine, tropical fruit, and chrysanthemums. Body is overpoweringly bitter and the sweet malt does not balance it well. Dry finish does nothing to help this one out.

Pour is orange copper and hazy with a cream colored head. Nose is fruity with pineapple and mango being the predominant smells. Taste is floral and hoppy with some good malt sweetness. Pineapple is present in the taste as well as some sweeter citrus. There is a nice back of the tongue bitterness that lingers after the malty sweetness dissipates. No booziness which i expected with the abv. Mouthfeel is medium and lighter than other imperial or DIPAs. Overall I like this a lot more than people rate it. Very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Floral hop aromas. Flavor is just a bit too much on the sweet side for my tastes--seems to favor the malt over the hops. There are the usual pine-bitter and citrus flavors at work. Quite a bitter finish overall.

Sweet and bitter, yet very smooth, with a mildly boozy finish. Smells sweet. Flavors of tangerine, hops, black pepper, and honey.

Bottle at Lincoln Wine Bar. Clear yellow with a huge white head. The aroma is sweet and very hoppy, but also with loads of grass-notes. The flavor is sweet grassy combined with sticky caramel flavors. A very dry finish, almost like eating hops.

Draft sample at the Wigwam beer fest. A well made DIPA that does not overpower you with bittereness. A good blend of the sweet citrus notes but also the bitter, resinous flavors too. Plus a strong malt backbone to balance it out well. Nice and not too over-the-top as this type gets sometimes.

Bomber. Very light aroma and after taste for a 9.7% beer. Left a solid (literally) head around the glass. Would be great for a day on a boat. Would buy again.

Orange pour with a white head. Sweet tropical fruit and caramel malt up front. Nice grapefruit, some pine, and a touch of peach. Lightly floral, too. Somewhat sweet flavor, but plenty of hops. Good grapefruit, peach, pineapple, and pine. Light to moderate bitterness, some floral hops, and caramel.

Draft sample. Hazy orange in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of caramel, mandarin oranges, and latex paint. Flavors are more of the same sweet caramel, sweet orange and paint, along with notes or white pepper, booze, and grassy bitterness. Something is not quite right here.

Bottle. Clear dark orange pour, slowly dissipating frothy head and an aroma of rich juicy sweet orangey hops. Flavor also heavy juicy sweet bitter orange hops and plenty of malt to balance it out. Hell of a malty hop bomb and a nice addition to the new breweries to MN. Even at $10/4-pack, I’ll still probably pick it up again.
