Enjoyed as part of a sampler at Oggi’s in Garden Grove, CA. Appearance dark amber with not much head. Aroma more of an English IPA, dominated by malts with a light hop backing. Taste brings out more of the citrus elements, the maltiness actually goes away a bit, which is unique. It’s decent.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Strykzone (2906) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - NOV 23, 2011
Bomber from Hayduke. We enjoyed this together, he in California and I in Illinois, via facebook chat. This poured hazy and was a bit coppery. A big gushing head was fluffy and light. It lasted too long for my short patience. The nose was pine and pineapple with a bit of caramel. The flavor began with big hops that included pine and tart citrus. Caramel is noted but is almost overwhelmed by the hops. This could be a double IPA with the aggressive hops. They finally numbed my tongue enough to let some caramel in. This grew on me and was a really nice beer. Thanks Ron.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 glennmastrange (1547) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - NOV 14, 2011
Bottle. Light to moderate roasted and caramel for the malt, moderate pine and grapefruit for the hops, light soap for the yeast with background notes of pineapple, coriander, and paper. Head is large, frothy turning rocky, slightly off-white with fair lacing and is fully lasting. Color is sparkling clear golden amber, but the last pour is muddy amber/tan with some chunky pieces. Flavor starts faintly sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, watery with a lively to fizzy carbonation. Some odd but mostly excellent aromas, and the flavors are pretty good though a bit weak. This is still a top notch IPA.

On tap in orange. Sour acidic taste with an after taste just. As bad. Not a good version of an IPA.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 bth122 (458) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 17, 2011
Poured a hazy yellow color. Full frothey head. Aroma of citrus pine hops, some sour apple. Med-lite bitter, light sour. Creamy texture, ave carbonation. Too much sourness in this beer. Maybe skunked?
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 acearl (271) - EP, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 6, 2011
Bomber, rust hue with tan head, carmel malt makes for heavier texture, still hoppy, nice mix of citrus and nector, overall decent balance
