COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Trestles IPA is light bodied, clean, and pleasantly hoppy. With every sip this tasty IPA will take you back to your escape, such as local surf spot Trestles. Its strong copper color and clean finish on the palate are created by brewing with a 2-row malt and light imported crystal malt. We use CTZ and chinook hops and follow it up with the addition of dry hops of chinook and centennial in the fermenter bringing out a citrus aroma. Find your escape.

22oz bottle $5.49 . Nice orange color and lacing. Smells Hoppy but also a but of caramel like malt. Tastes bitter and a lot of citrus, good stuff but nothing too crazy here. This is easily one of the better left coast beers I’ve had lately which isn’t saying much... Overall, decent considering the price. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 04-24-2011 03:13:45

Slightly hazed orange pour with a white head. Opens up with a nice tropical fruit aroma of pineapple and mango. Some grapefruit, tangerine, and floral notes, too. Light grass, pine, and bread sweetness. The flavor is quite perfumey. Some mild pine bitterness, grapefruit peel, and a light tropical flavor. Fair amount of bread sweetness, a bit of biscuit, and some good tangerine.

Bottle from Big Star. Totally unassuming west-coast IPA, fairly light in color, nice pineapple and citrus aroma, strong but not in-your-face hop profile making for easy sipping. Chill and delicious.

Clear, bright and brassy in color with about an inch of eggshell color foam, which dissipated after about 2 minutes. Astringent aroma of pine and oranges and some caramel. Nice caramel flavor with bitter citrus rind and aspirin like bitterness. It’s a delicious IPA with just a touch more sweetness than, say, a Sierra Nevada.

Good, but not my type of IPA so it probably looks like I rated low. There are notes of salt and dough that overrun my palate, which I don’t... not like. But, I’d rather not have it when I drink my IPA. Also, honeydew sweetness? Good beer, but not my IPA.

Picked up a bomber bottle at Bi-Rite market in San Diego, and poured it into my favorite tulip glass. Pours a fairly clear copper color, with a medium-sized, slightly soapy white head that leaves behind some scattered lacing. Aroma is citrusy, but very sweet and a little syrupy. Flavors are nice and fresh—hoppy, but really fruity, and with a nice sweet maltiness. A brief, juicy finish like tangy oranges. Nice mouthfeel: light enough to feel refreshing in the summer, but enough richness to feel substantial, too. Comes across feeling a little stronger than 6.8%! Overall, this is really nicely balanced and solid; bravo, Left Coast.

On draft at the Hungry Monk. Copper pour with little to no head. Aroma is grassy and citrus with some light malt character. Taste has some mild bitterness with some nice grapefruit and hoppiness. Enjoyable.
