4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Most excedingly excellent IPA! Poured at a good temperature with a large, cream colored, foamy, head that settled after a bit, and good lacing. Color is a clear medium amber with some bubble trails. Aroma is more pine resin than citrus, fresh, caramel malt, and alluring. Flavor’s like nose, of a strength like a traditional American IPA, good balance between main characteristics, fairly dry. Body/carbonation are perfect for style. Finish is predominantly hop bitter followed by malt, long, and very drinkable. Very well done.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden/orange color. Thin white head, good lacing. Aroma is mild citrus and piney floral hops. Taste is on par... bitter, dry, and resinous with just a touch of sweet malt for balance. Nice IPA, but in all honesty; nothing really stood out to catch my attention.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
At Epic Beer Fest 2013. Clear golden with a thin persistent white head. Nose is pleasantly hoppy with earthy dankness, floral resin, and a bit of grapefruit zest. Flavor is bitter and hoppy flavorful, with leafy and resinous flavors taking the start, followed by bittersweet caramel and pale malt tones, finishes floral and resinous.

This was poured from a keg at El Bait shop in Des Moines. Orange clear pour with white frothy head. Smells like pine and fruit. Taste is about the same. My wheel house for an IPA. Well done!

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not my favourite Left Coast offering--their bottle conditioned beers are the best--but has a nice bitterness, akin to Stone’s IPA, and a thin, drinkable body with a lingering, roasted-coffee- or lime-peal-esque after-taste (the Left Coast water seems characteristic to me, somehow--but that might be my imagination). It’s the after-taste and cumulative tastiness of this offering that makes me think there’s more to it than meets the tongue, on first few sips--I’ll have to return to it again to see.

Yellow with a white head. The aroma is full of toffee, pine and oranges. The flavor is similar with a lot of toffee and caramel notes which mean the beer is only slightly bitter. I also get some pine and orange notes from the hops in the flavor. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Not a bad west coast style ipa, but there are better ones out there. This one seems to be missing the bitter bite and finish I want in my ipa. Heavier on the malt side making it slightly unbalanced. Decent, just nothing memorable.
