Trestles IPA is light bodied, clean, and pleasantly hoppy. With every sip this tasty IPA will take you back to your escape, such as local surf spot Trestles. Its strong copper color and clean finish on the palate are created by brewing with a 2-row malt and light imported crystal malt. We use CTZ and chinook hops and follow it up with the addition of dry hops of chinook and centennial in the fermenter bringing out a citrus aroma. Find your escape.

Amber colour with a marshmallowy white head that became slowly coarse and left good lace down the side of the glass. There was a lovely pungent aroma of apricot and peach tart tatin wafting from the glass before I had even put my nose over. This is a good sign of two things: this beer should smell lipsmackingly good and that finally Iíve got over my cold enough to nose beer properly. A proper snort from the hooter reveals very much a spruce quality that has become a wonderful signature of the Pacific NW IPA style. The flavour is quite massive. A tornado of spruce, green cone bitterness and an accompanied fruity malty balance. This is well-made beer that has probably had the benefit of a bit of travel and bottle aging. Irrespective, it is a tasty, tasty IPA and quite wonderful.

Mild nose, it is prob over a month old so that explains it though it was the first time i ever saw it off the shelf in the chi market last time in the store yesterday. Nice chinook in the aroma. The flavor is typical slight herbal but mostly pine and citrus rind hoppiness. It is kind of flat but the flavors are nice, could be more in your face though.

pours a semi-clear amber-orange with a medium size white head and great lacing. smell is of grain, some floral, a touch of caramel, and hops in the back. taste is of grain, cereal, slight citrus, some caramel, malt, and a few hops. ends a bit dry and a lingering bitterness.

22oz bottle $5.49 . Nice orange color and lacing. Smells Hoppy but also a but of caramel like malt. Tastes bitter and a lot of citrus, good stuff but nothing too crazy here. This is easily one of the better left coast beers Iíve had lately which isnít saying much... Overall, decent considering the price. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 04-24-2011 03:13:45

Slightly hazed orange pour with a white head. Opens up with a nice tropical fruit aroma of pineapple and mango. Some grapefruit, tangerine, and floral notes, too. Light grass, pine, and bread sweetness. The flavor is quite perfumey. Some mild pine bitterness, grapefruit peel, and a light tropical flavor. Fair amount of bread sweetness, a bit of biscuit, and some good tangerine.

Bottle from Big Star. Totally unassuming west-coast IPA, fairly light in color, nice pineapple and citrus aroma, strong but not in-your-face hop profile making for easy sipping. Chill and delicious.

Clear, bright and brassy in color with about an inch of eggshell color foam, which dissipated after about 2 minutes. Astringent aroma of pine and oranges and some caramel. Nice caramel flavor with bitter citrus rind and aspirin like bitterness. Itís a delicious IPA with just a touch more sweetness than, say, a Sierra Nevada.

Good, but not my type of IPA so it probably looks like I rated low. There are notes of salt and dough that overrun my palate, which I donít... not like. But, Iíd rather not have it when I drink my IPA. Also, honeydew sweetness? Good beer, but not my IPA.
