COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"At left coast Brewing Co., we pride ourselves on our seasonal line up, with Una Mas amber being our one for the Spring. This dark copper lager(Ale in Texas) is light in body and bursting with flavor. Styled after the popular amber lagers south of the border, Una Mas is the perfect Spring brew. Small amounts of dark roasted malts add a rich color without making it thick or chewy. Munich malt adds a rich toasty finish to the brew. Una mas will leave you wanting more."

Apple skin and fresh, wet grain aroma. Amber color with fine, slick lacing. Mild hop in the front, slightly roasted cereal grain back.

TAP. Kole beer pour with white foam head. Sweet toffee malty nose. Much the same in taste; sweet toffee stickiness, malts.... No real hops or bitterness. Sourced The Firestations

Bottle. Amber in color with a nice head. Aroma is full of grains. Taste is lightly roasted grains, a tad funky.

12 ounce bottle - $2.29 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, toasted brown body with a small-sized, wispy, near white head.

Smell: Toasted malts with an instantaneous, distinct husky scent that grabs you, though not in a good way. A little wisp of herbal hops, though, there’s little to the aroma beyond the huskiness.

Taste: Bready, lightly toasty malts with a noticed husky quality to it. Lightly sweet, with a low touch of caramel. Modestly fruity. Herb tinged hoppiness, also low, with little bitterness present. Encroaching wearying wateriness as you proceed to the empty finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-light carbonation.

Overall: A lacking, humdrum lager. No Mas.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear dark amber with a frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is caramel malt. The flavour is moderate bitter with a chewy sweet malt, light yeast, hoppy bitter palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation and a bubbly mouthfeel.

Sweet and malty. Little hop influence. Clear Amber color. Modest head with average body.

Light dark fruit smell like plum and licorice, pretty smooth, low on hops, straight barley malt taste with slight dark fruit, good finish..slightly bitter

Location: 12 oz bottle from State Line, 12/28/14

Aroma: The aroma is sweet and malty, caramel, some bread, spice, and a little orange
Appearance: This one pours a murky orange-brown color, with a small tan head and streaky lace
Flavor: Tastes rather sweet, with a light spice component that the sweetness dominates
Palate: The body is medium, it is fairly sticky on the mouth, with a lively carbonation
Overall Impression: I thought this one was okay. It gets a bit too sticky, and lacks that balancing component to make it a better beer. It also feels a little too muddled. It is not bad, but it is not all that good either.

It’s a style I rather enjoy, this one. It appears as the way I imagine it will smell somehow. Coppery russet in colour, but clear and carrying the remnants of some ugly grey head. It smells of gorgeous caramel malts and bready yeastiness and tastes similar. It is sweet but not cloying and very drinkable.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear amber with a thin head. Aroma is sweet malt. Flavor is very very sweet and some malt. Nice but too sweet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample at GABF 2014. Comes reddish brown with a small white head. Aroma and taste of malt and caramel. One dimensional and too sweet.
