COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"At left coast Brewing Co., we pride ourselves on our seasonal line up, with Una Mas amber being our one for the Spring. This dark copper lager(Ale in Texas) is light in body and bursting with flavor. Styled after the popular amber lagers south of the border, Una Mas is the perfect Spring brew. Small amounts of dark roasted malts add a rich color without making it thick or chewy. Munich malt adds a rich toasty finish to the brew. Una mas will leave you wanting more."

Bomber from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy dark copper with a foamy beige head. Aroma of sweet caramel with a hint of chocolate. Near med body. Flavor is sort of a toffee/chocolate combo. Treacle aspect. It does suggest a toffee hard candy. Finishes pretty sweet. I’m not thinking this would be wildly popular amongst DIPA freaks.

Bottle. Pours with a clear orange to amber body with a small and not very retentive off-white head. Slowly fades to a ring. Some lacing. Aromas of malty first, nutty (maybe even husky), bready, lightly toasted. Hazelnuts, a hint of salinity. Pretzels. Minimal hop notes. A hint of esters which seems out of place. Flavors are nutty, biscuity, and again a hint of salinity. Medium bitterness that rounds to an overall neutral balance. Hop flavors are very minimal. No esters on the flavor. Some crispness and a short duration. Medium to lively bubbles, a bit high in alcohol for what I am use to from a Vienna. Seems like the water is pretty high in bicarbonate (getting some bite on the sides of the tongue). Decently dry finish. No real flaws. Decent.

Hmm...this is weird, has a bit of Jolly Rancher sugar in the aroma. Way too sweet, sticky sugars. flavor also has that Strawberry Jolly Rancher character. Quite disappointed.

Bottle.
Pours a decent amber with an aroma of roasted malt notes and strawberry toast. Flavor is toasted bread, roasted nuts, and an earthy vegetable finish. Decent mouthfeel. Too earthy for my taste but not bad.

Scottsdale location. The beer pours to a bright glowing brassy amber body with a nice dense, creamy white head. The aroma is similar to an aromatic silage. I don’t have any idea what they were going for here. The flavor was fortunately interesting. Toasted malts meets crisp grains and citrus hops but it’s not overly bitter. Lively and refreshing. The palate is nicely textured and refreshing. I thought it was an APA.
