COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"At left coast Brewing Co., we pride ourselves on our seasonal line up, with Una Mas amber being our one for the Spring. This dark copper lager(Ale in Texas) is light in body and bursting with flavor. Styled after the popular amber lagers south of the border, Una Mas is the perfect Spring brew. Small amounts of dark roasted malts add a rich color without making it thick or chewy. Munich malt adds a rich toasty finish to the brew. Una mas will leave you wanting more."

This brew pours with an amber body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. The flavor is slightly sweet and malty with slight toffee notes, a little sourness and a little fruitiness. The flavor is sweet and malty with notes of sweet fruit, toffee and a little bitterness. Meidum bodied, tingly on the tongue and slightly warming.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2004 Draught at Oggiís Santa Clarita (the worst Oggií of all)
Amber body below a medium sized white head which leaves behind delicate lacing. Malty sweet with a surprising amount of hops for the style. Diacetyl, could be intentional, doesnít detract from the beer. Well rounded and balanced, if only more lagers where like this

UPDATED: OCT 15, 2013 ~Pours an amber color with small lasting head.4 ~Light malty aroma with some spicy hops. Smells crisp. 6 ~Toasty malty flavor followed by a light bitterness. 5 ~Light feel, dry, bitter finish 3 ~Easy to drink would be refreshing on a hot day. The bitter taste is a bit strange. I dont think I will be saying "una mas" after this one. Not bad though. 12 Total Score 3.0 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ know ive had this before. I heard about it winning Best Of Show at California State Fair and had been wanting to try it. Stumbled across it on draft in Vegas and thought it was quite tasty. Decided to buy a bottle and give it another rating now that my appreaciation for different beers has improved. ~ Strong toasty bready biscuity malt aroma. Clean with light spicy hop chraracter. ~Pours a brownish copper color with quickly disappearing head. ~Strong toasty malt flavor, very bready nutty. Clean with spicy hop. ~medium bodied with medium CO2, balanced malty hoppy finish. ~A good beer for sure, but not really worthy of a BOS IMO and I usually am routing for the less popular styles to win.

Amber pour with a white head. Sweet malt aroma of toast, bread, and biscuit. Fruity esters, some yeast, and light floral hop aroma. Maybe a bit of earth, too. Sweet flavor of bread, biscuit, and toast. Nice fruitiness of pear and apple, some floral hops, yeast, and a very light earthy bitterness.

Bottle. Amber in color with a nice head. Aroma is full of grains. Taste is lightly roasted grains, a tad funky.

Scottsdale location. The beer pours to a bright glowing brassy amber body with a nice dense, creamy white head. The aroma is similar to an aromatic silage. I donít have any idea what they were going for here. The flavor was fortunately interesting. Toasted malts meets crisp grains and citrus hops but itís not overly bitter. Lively and refreshing. The palate is nicely textured and refreshing. I thought it was an APA.

Good malty aroma... some toffee and toast. Pours a crystal clear copper amber with a touch of ruby and a soapy head. Really nice looking in the glass, like a beer commercial. Strong toasty malt and some sweet malt mixed in. OK flavor. Overall, a pretty decent brew. I like the name "Una Mas". I would definitely drink mas...

Bomber from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy dark copper with a foamy beige head. Aroma of sweet caramel with a hint of chocolate. Near med body. Flavor is sort of a toffee/chocolate combo. Treacle aspect. It does suggest a toffee hard candy. Finishes pretty sweet. Iím not thinking this would be wildly popular amongst DIPA freaks.
