Voo Doo is a full bodied, dark brew that is rich and malty with plenty of roasted barley character. Its creamy long lasting head completes the brew, tempting your taste buds to be spellbound.

Pours a thick black from the bottle with bubbly tan brown head that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma is roast up front, chocolate and almost lactose ending. Taste follows, definitely more roasted malt and coffee than the nose. Good stuff, lasting bitterness and thick mouth.

This is a year round offering from Voodoo. It is an American Stout. It pours black with a decent viscosity. Head is tan to beige. There was about a pinky of head which dissipates quickly. There are a little bit of alcohol legs sticking to the side of the glass. Initial aroma is a smooth bitter chocolate coffee smell, a hint of molasses maybe. The beer has decent carbonation at the front of the tongue, moves through the mouth with the tastes of the nose and finishes with a surprising hoppy coffee bitterness. The beer is thin to medium bodied. There is nothing particularly notable about this beer. As the beer warms, there are some slight hints of alcohol, definitely more legs on the glass. The nose is slightly astringent and the bitterness on the finish is non-descript. Overall this is a pretty disappointing beer. Not an entry level stout, but definitely not an advanced stout. Its solid but not spectacular.

Pretty nice stout. Dark with a roasted barley and coffee taste...I couldn’t find the chocolate flavor others referred to. I really like it but it but it leaves kind of a bitter aftertaste. Probably I am rating this higher than I should. I have a couple more left and may give a second opinion later.

Bottle: Dark brown with a finger of creamy brown head. Roast and bittersweet cocoa aroma, translates well into the taste. Espresso works with the cocoa and a nice amount of bitters. Silky feel. At $13 for a 4-pack it seems likely that I’ll scroll past, but then again I like the serving size and it’s better than a lot of the $6ish bombers out there.

Bottle: Created a thick fluffy layer of foamed head which left a ton of lacing down the glad while the liquid was simply a jet black color. As for the aroma, there is a bold scent of Nestle chocolate milk with scents of roast dark malt and a hefty serving of dark chocolate. The flavor is rich with a heavy palate that brings out dark roast malts while also having a buttery finish. This is actually a strong and robust stout that I have been seeing available in a lot of local liquor stores, so that’s always nice to see.

Bottle. Pours a near black color with a moderate tan head on it. Nose is roasty with some dark coffee elements coming off it. Taste is almost like some burnt coffee with some strong roasting in there. Nice thick beer. Very tasty.

Great color and beautiful head. Nose of chocolate and coffee. Taste follows suit. Hides alcohol really well. Almost light for a stout. I pounded this one after a mexas ranger. So smooth

pours black with a small tan head. This stout is very bitter, there is a dark bitter coffee taste, there is a bit of chocolate, and very dark malts. I guess I will have to pass on a refill!!

Tasted this stout at the Corridor Beerfest in Cedar Rapids. Smooth tasting with a bit of a bite. A beer I would drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy
