Initially I couldn’t pick the aroma, but then it settles to a pleasant chocolate. Deep dark colour with a mocha head of some substance. Bittery chocolate initially, but with a nice malty back, not so long a taste though, and you get left with that bitterness.

Great color and beautiful head. Nose of chocolate and coffee. Taste follows suit. Hides alcohol really well. Almost light for a stout. I pounded this one after a mexas ranger. So smooth

pours black with a small tan head. This stout is very bitter, there is a dark bitter coffee taste, there is a bit of chocolate, and very dark malts. I guess I will have to pass on a refill!!

Tasted this stout at the Corridor Beerfest in Cedar Rapids. Smooth tasting with a bit of a bite. A beer I would drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

I appreciate stouts, but I wouldn’t call myself a "fan". This one was pretty typical of a "standard" stout. Lots of roasted malt and coffee aroma, with the taste adding a dried fruit to the mix. An excellent stout - and definitely a "sipping" beer.

Great color and flavor. Just the right amount of bitterness to go along with the malty character. I love the alcohol content.

Bottle. Thin dark black pour, little carbonation an aroma of dark chocolate and a little coffee. Flavor is nice rich roasted dark malts, hints of black cherry syrup, coffee and clove. Pretty nice at $6/bomber.

Bomber - pours black with an inch high tan head. Had a coffee taste at first but once it warmed up it was more of the chocolate persuasion. Creamy mouthfeel and very good.

Bottle. Super dark pour with a light brown head. Nice full palate but not dense or heavy. Roasted coffee, licorice, tobacco, and a touch of bitter chocolate. Very nice brew - a winner.
