4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
I can see why the World Cup of 2012 gave a bronze medal to this beer. It is smooth, not syrupy at all. Extremely well balanced in flavor, texture, and after taste. Strong coffee notes followed by the espresso. Great beer indeed.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours pitch black with small brown suds. Smells strongly of roasted barley, chocolate, and coffee. Taste of chocolate, coffee, with some roasted characteristics. Full-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Left Coast Voo Doo American Stout finishes with chocolate bitterness.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
An exceptional stout. High alcohol is masked by the richness of the chocolate and roasted coffee character. Medium bodied, deep brown with tan head.

Pours well, white head dissipates quickly leaving not quite sump oil but thick looking black liquid. chocolate / coffee nose (heavenly). Mouth feel full well rounded and bitter (coffee/chocolate)

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Commercial description hits this one on the head. Black with a nice foamy tan head. Predominantly roasted and burnt malt character in the aroma. Some earthy hop notes but malt is huge. Flavor is toasted, black, and ashy. Not sticky, but a good body and dry, bitter finish. Like this one.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Two and half fingers of tan head on a black body. The pour had bubbles dancing all over.
The aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Really nice.
The taste starts with a mild bitter, then dark bitter chocolate, a little caramel and finishes with milk. Amazing depth, complexity and development.
Smooth texture with low carbonation and a heavy body.
The taste was perfect and the rest of the beer supported it well.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours black with a thick, creamy mocha head...great retention and lacing. Aroma has rich chocolate. And coffee...slightly sweet and roasty. Flavor is more dominated by rostiness and coffee...not too much chocolate to it. Mouthfeel is silky and thick with a long and robust roasty finish. Not overly complex but very tasty none the less.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours a near black color with a moderate tan head on it. Nose is roasty with some dark coffee elements coming off it. Taste is almost like some burnt coffee with some strong roasting in there. Nice thick beer. Very tasty.

Poured from the bomber bottle. Appearance is nice. Aroma is great, roasted, chocolate, and coffee. Flavor follows the aroma nicely . Overall this is a great beer that I enjoyed while watching the movie Due Date.

Shared with Strykzone via Facebook Chat as we sat a couple thousand miles apart and enjoyed the same beer. The roasted chocolate malt jumped out after the cap was removed and it poured dark brown that looked black in the glass and raised a very attractive dark tan head and thick glue like lacing rings. The nose was chocolate and roasted malts, with some coffee. Medium body with a soft creamy and enjoyable palate. The flavor is quite complex and as you progress new flavors keep coming to join the chocolate malt base. I got vanilla, ripe fruit, citrus, coffee, flowers, and some kind of spice. This is a well crafted beer and enjoyable right to the last drop. I was wishing I had another bottle. My kind of beer.
